Тема урока: “A trip to London”.

Цели урока:

Развивающий аспект:

 - развитие внимания, памяти, способности к сравнению и сопоставлению речевых единиц, к анализу, обобщению;

 Воспитательный аспект:

 - формирование потребности и способности понимать образ жизни зарубежных сверстников, воспитание потребности и способности к сотрудничеству и взаимопомощи при работе в паре и группе, воспитание уважительного отношения к иноязычной культуре;

Учебный аспект:

 - совершенствование грамматических навыков говорения, развитие умения читать с целью полного понимания текста и с целью извлечения конкретной информации.

Задачи урока:

 - познакомить учащихся с достопримечательностями Англии;

 - совершенствовать грамматические навыки говорения, навыки по чтению, монологической и диалогической речи;

 - повысить интерес к изучению иностранного языка.

Тип урока: урок-путешествие

Методы обучения:  рассказ, эпическая беседа, пример, педагогическое требование, поощрение, соревнование, наглядности, стимулирование и мотивация учения

Оборудование урока: Видеофильм о Великобритании («Окно в Британию»); раздаточный материал; доска; плакат с Достопримечательностями Лондона

Литература для учителя: лекции по методике, журнал "Иностранные языки в школе", учебник

Ход урока:

-Good morning, children! I'm glad to see you. Sit down, please. I'll be your English teacher for today. My name is Elena Sergeevna. Let's start our lesson. The topic of our lesson is «A trip to London».

     Buckingham Palace is the most famous place in London. It is the home of the Queen. There are 600 rooms in it. It has an indoor swimming pool and a cinema.
    Trafalgar Square is the most popular place for people to meet. In the middle of the square there is Nelson's Column, which is 51 m high.
     Hamleys is the biggest toy shop in London. There are six floors with millions of toys.
    The London Eye - 135 m. The highest point of the wheel. This is the biggest wheel in Britain. It was opened on 1 February 2000 in London. There's a wonderful view from it.
       Here is the river Thames. It runs below the wheel. It is the deepest and most beautiful river in Britain.
      Madame Tussaud's is the world's most famous waxwork museum. Over two million people go there every year to see wax figures of presidents, film stars and pop stars.
      Tower Bridge is one of the oldest bridges in London. It is over a hundred years old.
      Hyde Park is the most famous park in London. It's a pleasure to watch Londoners walk and jog in the park, eat their sandwiches, talk, sunbathe, read books and enjoy music. There are no signs like "Do not walk on the grass".

       The Tower of London is a very big castle. It is the oldest place in London. It was a castle, a palace, a zoo, a prison and a museum. The most famous things in the Tower of London are the Crown Jewels. They have the biggest diamond in the world — the "Star of Africa".

B: Oh, yesterday I saw St. Paul’s Cathedral, heard the voice of Big Ben, and visited the famous Tower.
A: Have you visited St. James Park?
B: Not, yet. What is it famous for?
A: It is the oldest and the smallest of the royal parks. It is near Buckingham Palace. There is a lake in St. James Park which is famous for its water birds. You can see pelicans and ducks there. People like to rest in this park.
B: How can I get there?
A: By bus or just walk.
