1. Организационный момент
- Good morning, boys and girls. I am glad to see you. How are you today?
Today we will have an unusual lesson. We will visit Great Britain. Are you ready? Then take your bags and let’s go to the airport.
2. Фонетическая зарядка
Look through illuminators. How is it beautiful! We can see different countries. Do you remember our poem “Travelling”?
Don’t cry bitterly and go to Italy.
Don’t miss you chance and go to France.
Take your pen and go to Japan.
Buy some cheese and go to Greece. (слайды 2-5)

What do you know about Britain? What is the capital of Great Britain? Where Great Britain situated? What do you want to visit in this charming country?

1. Работа с картой.
It is the map of the world. There are six continents. What are they? Can you name the world’s oceans? In which countries English is the official language?

It is the British Isles. The British Isles are washed by the North Atlantic Ocean and the North Sea. Scotland, Wales, England and Ireland are the largest towns in Great Britain.

2. Экскурсия по Лондону.
Welcome to London, my dear pupils! In order to go sightseeing it will be better to take a double-decker tour. (слайд 13)
It is a pity, but it is raining today. (слайд 14)
London is the capital of the United Kingdom and the center of the Commonwealth. It is one of the largest cities of the world. It stands on the river Thames. London is more than two thousand years old.
Our first destination will be Westminster Abbey. But before we will reach the church we have to cross the Tower Bridge. Unfortunately we have no time for a visit. But I give you some information. ( слайд 15-18)

London is also well-known by its parks, palaces and squares. Let’s see the most famous. (слайд 20-21)

3) Important visitors often go to the palace. They meet Queen Elizabeth and the royal family inside the palace.
4) They stand outside and see the Changing of the Guard.
