Interesting fact Saiga is a symbol and one of the most protected animals of the reserve. At one time they were on the verge of extinction. All saiga “wine” in their horns, which were very much appreciated in China as raw materials for medicines, attracted poachers especially. After the saigas were taken under protection, their numbers began to increase. At the moment, there are about 15 thousand goals, which is still considered insufficient for the full existence of the population.
