American holidays Done by Kutbiddinov Timur

Presidents' Day Every year on the third Monday of February, the United States celebrates President's Day. Although this day is officially dedicated to the life and work of George Washington, born on February 22, this day honors all previous presidents who ruled in the United States.

St Patrick's day St Patrick's day is a cultural holiday celebrated on the day of the death of St. Patrick (the patron saint of Ireland). This day symbolizes the adoption of Christianity in Ireland. It is believed that St. Patrick is not only the patron saint of Ireland, but also the ancestor of Irish literature.

Memorial Day Memorial Day is the national day of remembrance of the United States, celebrated annually on the last Monday in May. It is dedicated to the memory of American servicemen who died in all wars and armed conflicts in which the United States has ever participated. The tradition of celebrating this day originated after the American Civil War and was originally dedicated to the Northern soldiers who died in this war. After the First World War, soldiers who died in other military conflicts began to be remembered on this day.

Mother's Day Mother's Day, which is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of Lent. Its roots go back to Victorian times, when children worked away from home at a fairly early age, and the money they earned was sent to the family budget. At that time, children were allowed to spend one day a year at home with their parents. Usually they brought small gifts to mothers and grandmothers — bouquets of flowers or fresh eggs. Today, children on this day give flowers to their mothers and do their homework for them.

Father's Day Father's Day is a celebration of the veneration of fatherhood and paternal ties, as well as the influence of fathers in society. In Catholic countries of Europe, it has been celebrated on March 19 as St. Joseph's Day since the Middle Ages. In the United States, Father's Day was founded by Sonora Smart Dodd, and was first celebrated on the third Sunday of June in 1910.

Independence Day Independence Day is the day of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence of the United States in 1776, which proclaims the independence of the United States from the Kingdom of Great Britain; it is celebrated in the United States of America on July 4. Most Americans call this holiday simply by its date — "The Fourth of July". The holiday is accompanied by fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family gatherings, addresses of politicians to the people and ceremonies, as well as other public and private events traditional for the United States.
