Central Children's Store on Lubyanka

Central Children's Store on Lubyanka is the largest specialized children's shopping mall in Russia, located at: Moscow, Teatralny proezd, b. 5. The building was constructed in 1953-1957 in the center of Moscow.

Durable, expensive materials were used for interior decoration. The columns of the central hall, the main entrance lobby and escalator hall, balustrades, cartouches, elements of architectural order were made of white marble, and the walls were lined with it.

The interior was complemented by a monumental clock built by the Petrodvorets Watch Factory. The clock mechanism weighs 4.5 tons and consists of 5 thousand parts made of steel, aluminum, titanium and covered with gold. The operating mechanism of the clock reaches the size of 6 by 7 meters and consists of 21 gears, 4-meter balance anchor wheel and 13-meter pendulum with a diameter of 3 meters.

Many events took place in this store. Tom Felton came to Moscow for the opening of the Harry Potter store here. Later there were many other creative meetings on interests, such as autograph session with the actors of the movie "Major Thunder Plague Doctor", cosplay events on various games and so on.

There are a lot of interesting places in the central children's store right now. A movie theater, play areas, clothing stores, cafes, many toy, book, and stationery stores. There are also a lot of different photo zones where children can take pictures with their favorite cartoon characters.
