New Year is a holiday that we always look forward to. This is the time we spend with our families and friends, relaxing and exchanging gifts. Each family has its own traditions and customs and how they spend this day. As for me and my family, we consider the New Year a family holiday and always spend it together. We begin to prepare for it very carefully, usually a few days before the celebration. It is always very important to choose the right gifts for the whole family and friends. This is my favorite part of New Year's Eve preparations because I like to look for the perfect gifts for my family. Also, before the New Year, we always clean the house and create a festive atmosphere. I like to decorate the house with garlands. My mom and I always cook holiday meals together. We usually make a lot of different dishes. For example, Olivier salad, various pies and, in addition, we bake cookies. Our festive table is always full of delicious food. When it's almost midnight, we gather at the festive table to say goodbye to the passing year and wish each other all the best. We have a family tradition of watching a festive concert on TV and listening to the president's speech. After that, we exchange gifts, and then go outside to watch fireworks, take a walk, meet with neighbors and wish everyone a Happy New Year.
