Цели: 1) практическая: формирование навыков монологического высказывания по теме “ Mystery of the Solovetsky Islands”

2) воспитательная: создание условий для формирования положительного отношения к природе и культуре родного региона;

3) развивающая: развитие языковых способностей к адекватному сочетанию лексических и грамматических явлений в речи; выявлению главного из текста, логическому изложению;

4) образовательная: расширение кругозора учащихся о природе, истории и культуре Соловецких островов.

Задачи: 1) отработка фонетических навыков;

2) тренировка навыков устной речи;

3) отработка умений работать в группе;

4) текущий контроль понимания содержания текста.

Оборудование: мультимедийная презентация, текст “Mystery of the Solovetsky Islands”, тестовые задания.

Организационный этап

Good afternoon, boys and girls! I’m glad to see you; please, sit down. Last lesson we read the texts about natural sights of English-speaking countries. But today we are going to talk about our country and exactly about the north of Russia. The North of Russia is famous for not only “white nights” but also the beautiful nature and the magnificent architectural monuments. Today we are going to learn information about culture and nature of our region and namely the Solovetsky Islands. Answer my questions, please!

- What were you interested in most of all?

Now we are going to work with the text about the Solovetsky Islands. First of all let’s begin our work with the reading the words and train our pronunciation. I read and you repeat after me. Not bad! I want some of you to read these words.

You should read the text and using the questions prepare a small report. You have 8 minutes for this work (Слайды 4-8).
