Пояснительная записка.

Студентам было дано задание – поделиться впечатлениями после просмотра американского художественного фильма «Общество мертвых поэтов» на английском языке в рамках заседания киноклуба A-LISTERS (Звезды первой величины): Write down about your impressions with the movie. 100-120 words.

Фильм снятый режиссёром Питером Уиром  в 1989 году.

Премия «Оскар» за лучший оригинальный сценарий, также фильм номинировался в категориях «Лучший фильм» и «Лучшая мужская роль» (Робин Уильямс). Две премии «БАФТА» за лучший фильм года и лучшую музыку.

Фильм повествует об истории учителя английского языка и литературы, который вдохновляет своих учеников менять свою жизнь через пробуждение в них интереса к поэзии и литературе. Действие фильма происходит в конце 1950-х в вымышленной академии города Велтон в штате Вермонт. Образ учителя Китинга, роль которого в фильме исполнил Робин Уильямс, списан с реального учителя, Сэма Пикеринга, преподававшего в Montgomery Bell Academy, где проходил в своё время обучение сценарист фильма Том Шульман.

MY IMPRESSIONS AND THOUGHTS

Students of the prestigious Welton College have a brilliant - and depressingly boring - future. Roommates Neil and Todd dream of a creative life, but, obeying the will of authoritarian parents, learn to live according to a given scheme and follow the strict rules of the academy. One of them is waiting for the career of a doctor, the other wants to see a lawyer. Many people who still have a little flame in their chests are looking for someone who will show which barricades you can put your flag on. The new literature teacher, John Keating, was just the one who showed these heroes these barricades to our heroes. That's about the film - about finding the right teacher, able to penetrate those thoughts that were not expressed, and - consequently - attempts to get rid of the burden of ordinary pressures opinions. The search for a Teacher who will not tell or explain, but will open the way to enlightenment, to other dimensions in the ordinary world, changing the point of view. All that is needed in order not to slip on the way uphill is to be able to see yourself in a slightly different way, and this is what Keating gives its students, returning romanticism, charm, intrigue to learning. The lesson of independence and independence begins with a couple of eccentric tricks: Keating makes the students tear out a meaningless chapter from the textbook and advises them to climb on the desk - to look at life from a different angle. Heroes' views on life are really changing very quickly. Under the influence of a romantic teacher, they discover in themselves poets and creators of their own lives. The clash with reality predictably ends in tragedy - but this will not force the heroes to change the new principles.

The youthful, with a slight touch of nostalgia beauty of the film evokes a feeling of being carried away, surrendering, staying in the grip of dreams, although at the bottom of the soul lies the confidence that "they will not catch up with us."

The high level of directing in this picture is also noticeable in the painstaking and thoughtful work with adolescents, who made up a wonderful, and most importantly - natural and emotional ensemble of the ensemble. Without a stretch, you can compare Peter Weir with his amazing main character, teacher John Keating, who left a good and grateful memory of himself.
