A letter to my friend

Dear friend,

My name is Ira. I am 15 years old. I am in the 9th grade. We have a big class. I have a lot of classmates and I like them all. There are 6 boys and 9 girls in my class. Our class is friendly, noisy and cheerful. We always help each other. We congratulate each other on different holidays and give presents. I have got a lot of friends, but unfortunately, I don’t have the best friend. If I had her, we'd help each other with our homework, walk together and support each other forever.

I live in a big and beautiful village. I live in the country house. My family isn’t very big. I have got a mother, a father and a brother. My mother is a very nice woman. She is caring and wise. She is a speech therapist and works at school. She is beautiful with big blue eyes and a charming smile. My father is clever and strong. He is a business owner and has his own sawmill. He likes to watch the news and read newspapers, but he doesn’t have much free time. My brother has already left school. He studies at the university. He is going to be an engineer. He likes to go out with his friends. We like to spend time all together. We like to watch films, celebrate holidays and go to the cinema.

My hobby is playing the guitar. My family has given it to me recently, and I've already started studying chords.

I go to school with pleasure. My favourite subjects are History and PE. Such subjects as Chemistry and Physics are difficult. But I study well and compete in different olympiads. This year I must take examinations in Mathematics and Russian and write a test paper in the chosen subjects such as Geography and Social Studies. I plan to finish the 11th grade and then go to the university to get a profession of a speech therapist.
