I like everything as for music: listening, watching and even playing. So I am a fan of many singers. But my favourite singer, whom I admire, is Avril Lavigne.

Avril is a popular Canadian rock singer. Apart from her musical career, she is a designer and an actress.

Avril Lavigne was born in Beleville, Ontario, on the 27st of September, 1984. She has got an elder brother Matthew and a younger sister Michelle.

She did not like to study, but still her parents supported Avril’s undertakings and the beginning of her career ladder.

When Avril was 14, she began singing karaoke. At that time she started to write her own songs. The 1st of these ones was about teenagers’ love and was called «Can’t Stop Thinking About You».

Her 1st musical album «Let Go», was released in 2002, when she was 17 years old. The 2nd album is «Under My Skin» that was released in 2004 and was Avril’s 1st album to peak at the number 1 position on the U.S. Billboard 200. «The Best Damn Thing» is her 3rd and the recent album. It was released in 2007 and gave Lavigne her 3rd number 1 album in the UK Albums Chart.

Avril Lavigne has scored a total of five number-one singles worldwide, including «Complicated», «Sk8er Boi», «I’m With You», «My Happy Ending» and «Girlfriend».

Since 2002 Avril has appeared in different films: «Going the Distance», «Sabrina, the Teenage Witch», «The Flock», «Fast Food Nation».

Abbey Dawn is a clothing line designed by Avril, exclusively for Kohl’s in the US. She said the clothes were inspired by her own personal style.

Avril Lavigne has been featured in a comic series «Avril Lavigne’s Make 5 Wishes». She stars as herself, a rock star who is idolized by the protagonist of the story. «Avril Lavigne’s Make 5 Wishes» is a manga style comic book written by Joshua Dysart with artwork by Camilla D’Errico.

And all in all Avril Lavigne is my person I admire the most! I learned about her creativity almost a year ago, but her style of singing, her manner of performing, her deep songs just have possessed me at once. These songs help me escape from everyday life problems and routine.
