ПЛАН-КОНСПЕКТ УРОКА

ПО АНГЛИЙСКОМУ ЯЗЫКУ в 9 КЛАССЕ

Тема: Природа и люди. (UNIT 8а NEVER GIVE UP)

Цель урока: формирование коммуникативной иноязычной компетенции учащихся в рамках темы «Природа и люди»

Задачи:

Образовательная: активизировать и совершенствовать актуальный словарный запас обучающихся по теме Природа и люди

Воспитательные: развивать настойчивость и умение преодолевать трудности для достижения намеченной цели; активизировать познавательную инициативу обучающихся и формировать их социальную компетентность.

Развивающие: содействовать установлению в сознании ребенка устойчивых связей между накопленным и новым опытом познавательной и практической деятельности; формировать и развивать учебно-организационные умения и навыки (взаимоконтроль, самостоятельная работа, коллективная деятельность); развивать способность к рефлексии, как важнейшей составляющей умения учиться; развивать творческий потенциал учащихся.

Планируемые результаты:

Личностные: формировать

готовность к участию в гуманитарной деятельности (волонтёрство, помощь людям, нуждающимся в ней);

способность адаптироваться к стрессовым ситуациям и меняющимся социальным, информационным и природным условиям, в том числе осмысляя собственный опыт и выстраивая дальнейшие цели;

Ход урока:

Warming-up: Слайд 1 HELLO the ninth-grade students! Welcome to our English lesson. Today is lovely day, huh? What’s the weather like? What is your favorite weather?

Слайд 2 Today is a great day to learn something new. Look at the first slide of the presentation. What can you see? What about we are going to speak?

Слайд 3 We are going to speak about nature and people. At the end of our lesson we should be able to use new vocabulary and to transform direct speech into reported. Let’s start revising the new vocabulary words. Repeat after me, please

Слайд 4 Now, my dears, I want you to take your Spotlight text books and open them on page 122 ex. 1. You have texts on your desks. Look at the pictures next. What do you think these texts are about? While reading underline the sentences which are the most important in your opinion.

Eighteen – year-old Bethany Hamilton paddles furiously into the gigantic wave. As she feels the back of the board lift, she learns forward, then quickly pushes herself up, plants her feet on her board and carefully rides the wave as it moves quickly towards the beach. All this is nothing unusual for a champion surfer, but for Bethany it is a total miracle!

In 2003, Bethany had already won several competitions and had plans to become a professional surfer. Then, one sunny October morning, she was surfing with her friends on a beach near Kauai, Hawaii. Suddenly a four-metre-long tiger shark attacked her, ripping off her arm.

Most people would have become very depressed after such a tragedy, but Bethany amazed everyone. They couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw her getting back on her surfboard only three weeks after her terrifying experience. This was not easy, though. Apart from the difficulties of learning to surf with just one arm, she also had to face her fear of getting attacked by a shark again. ’It’s always in my mind,’ she says, ‘and it always will be, but I’ve got to keep my mind on having fun, and just surfing’.

Bethany is not only a champion surfer, but her positive attitude is also an inspiration to many. She has ever been to Thailand to help children who experienced the 2004 tsunami disaster with their fear of water. Sometimes, Bethany asks herself ‘Why me? ’but then she thinks of how her experience has helped her be a better person. Bethany’s motto is ‘Me quit? Never!’
