Мы оказываемся в небольшой комнатке, заставленной разной мебелью так, что можно лишь с трудом протиснуться к письменному столу у окна, за которым сейчас сидит мужчина средних лет. Перед ним на столе горит свеча, а сам он что-то быстро пишет пером на бумаге, то и дело зачеркивая получившиеся строки и хмурясь. Если мы подойдем поближе, то увидим, что на нем одежда, характерная для времени правления королевы Елизаветы, времени, которое носит название Золотой Век.
