U.S.A. Today we will talk about America, namely the state of South Carolina and the city of Beaufort.

South Carolina is a state in the coastal southeastern region of the United States. It borders North Carolina to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the southeast, and Georgia to the southwest across the Savannah River. The population is 5,124,712 The state's motto is "while I'm breathing, I hope"

Beaufort is full of historical sights and beautiful buildings. It was founded by British colonists in 1711. The population is 171,838 people.

Media files Culture There are several print publications in the Beaufort area. The Beaufort Gazette is the oldest and most widely distributed newspaper in South Carolina.

Books and films Beaufort has been the inspiration for several of Pat Conroy's novels and a popular filming location for major motion pictures, including The Big Chill, Prince of Tides, The Great Santini, and Forrest Gump.

Religion The city is home to many Christian denominations, with several churches located in the city center and throughout the surrounding area. St. Helena Parish Church, founded in the center of Beaufort in 1712 as an official church, is the oldest church in the city.

Administration Beaufort is classified as a city according to the South Carolina Secretary of State. The city is governed by a five-member city council under the "council-manager" form of government. The acting mayor is Mike McPhee. Other board members include Josh Scallate, Neil Lipsitz and Mitch Mitchell.

Do I want to go to Beaufort? If possible, I would visit Beaufort. Because Beaufort is a tourist destination known for its history. Major festivals and artistic events include the Homemade Water Festival, a two-week festival in mid-July; and the Shrimp Festival, dedicated to the local traditional industry, on the first weekend of October.
