The aim is to find out the history of creating of double-decker buses and to consider all pros and cons of this public transport.

The tasks : 1) to find out about the prototype of a modern double-decker bus; 2) to consider the history from the moment of creating to the present days; 3) to consider all pros and cons and why; 4) to analyze the results of the research and draw a conclusion; 5) to present this information to the class and the public.

The object is a red London double-decker bus.    The subject is the history of the double-deckers, their types and modern buses.

The hypothesis is a double-decker bus as a symbol of Britain has a rich history. The methods are studying the information about such buses, analysis and synthesis and comparison.

Disadvantages 1. Bigger time for getting on and off. 2. Higher costs because of design. 3. Entrance to the upper floor is inconvenient for the elderly, passengers with wheelchairs and disabled people. 4. It requires large garages and mastershop. 5. Routes are limited by the size of overpasses, the contact network of electric transport and other obstacles.

Advantages: 1. High capacity of passengers. 2. Maneuverability and dynamics is better than other buses have. 3. Comfort for passengers. Buses are designed primarily for carrying sitting passengers.
