Тип урока: Урок-закрепление страноведческой направленности
Цель:
Учебный аспект:
- научить учащихся моделировать речевую ситуацию, используя лексику по теме;
- повторить и обобщить использование страноведческого материала в речевой деятельности;
- овладевать всеми видами речевой деятельности в учебных ситуациях.
Развивающий аспект:
- формирование способности к сравнению и сопоставлению, к формированию выводов из прочитанного и услышанного, развитие речевых действий с помощью подбора выражений и слов, адекватных ситуации.
Воспитательный аспект:
- повышать интерес к культуре и традициям стран изучаемого языка;
- воспитывать культуру языкового общения, уважительного отношения друг к другу, умение внимательно слушать собеседника.
Планируемые результаты
Личностные:
- развитие творческих способностей детей;
-формирование ответственного отношения к учению, готовности к саморазвитию и самообразованию;
- формирование коммуникативной компетенции в общении со сверстниками.

Listening.
1) This holiday lasts for a week. During this week people always cook pancakes. People celebrate it at the end of February or at the end of February or at the beginning of March. During this holiday they celebrate the end of winter and the beginning of spring.
Answer: Maslenitsa, Russia.
2) Children go out into the streets on the 5th of November with figures like scarecrows. They stand in the streets and squares asking for the usual “Penny for the Guy”. Then they buy fireworks and burn the guy on the bonfire.
Answer: Great Britain, Guy Fawkes Day.
3) The members of each family do a big cleaning up on this holiday. When the house is clean they all sit round and watch television. On the television or radio you can hear 108 bells. People eat the special food and drink rice wine during the meal.

4) People celebrate this holiday on the last Thursday of November. It is one of the most important days of the year. People go to the church and families come together. They decorate their houses with the fruit and flowers of autumn and prepare traditional food: roast turkey, potatoes and pumpkin.
Answer: The USA, Thanksgiving day.
5) On July 4th 1776 this country became independent from England. It was the begging of a new life. Families and friends celebrate this day. People send cards and decorate their houses. Parents tell their children that Santa Claus will come to their houses at night and leave presents for them.
Answer: America, England, Christmas.
6) People invite their friends to their houses on this holiday. When the clock begins to strike 12, the head of the family goes to the entrance door, opens it wide and holds until the last strike. Then he shuts the door. People call the Eve of this holiday “Hogmanay”.
Answer: Scotland, New Year.
