Claude Monet. “Chrysanthemums”
This is a painting by the famous French artist Claude Monet, which was painted by him in the 19th century, namely in 1878. The painting depicts a still life of white flowers in a basket - made of chrysanthemums, which is the name he gave to this painting “chrysanthemums”.
In my opinion, this painting is one of the best and most beautiful works by this famous artist; it attracts me very much, since I really love flowers. Chrysanthemums look so fresh and beautiful, as if they had just been picked. The author depicted the flowers in such a way that each of them is unique and beautiful in its own way, he applied the paints with thick strokes and drew each flower petal well, not a single flower is similar to the other, each is not similar to each other. Although the flowers appear white, Claude Monet also used cool shades such as pink, blue and purple, I think he did this for contrast to better convey the mood of the painting. The author also painted the stems of the flowers with dark paint, and the leaves were drawn in dark green, but this is not visible in every flower, I think the artist gave more preference to the flowers themselves. The flowers are in a large red basket, the author also drew it very well, paying attention to every detail of the object. You can also see fallen flowers on the table; perhaps they have stood for a very long time and because of this they have fallen. It is impossible not to notice the background in this picture. The background is made in light blue shades, which creates a pleasant impression and good mood.
Despite the fact that the picture is made more in cold colors, it is very light, which indicates daytime. For me, this picture evokes a feeling of spring, because spring is the time when everything blooms and blooms, this time of year is associated with flowers, I want to go out into sunny weather and pick flowers. I really want to review this picture again and again, looking at it lifts my spirits. Painted at a time when Monet was becoming somewhat disillusioned with the principles of Impressionism, this painting is as much an occasion for demonstrating technical virtuosity as it is a means of exploring color and light, which is usually associated with the Impressionist movement.
