Scene 1

Fairy: Once upon a time there lived a poor man.

And when his first wife died, he married again.

His second wife was cruel, her daughters hated him.

But he loved Cinderella, and she, of course, loved him.

I want to tell the story, that was unhappy first…

Ok, we start, the end we’ll be nice, of course!

(Звучит музыка №1. Золушка в халате и платке, пританцовывая, подметает пол. Входит отец.)

Cinderella (обнимает отца): Good morning, my Daddy! Good morning to you! I love you, my dear! I’m glad to see you!

Father (гладит Золушку по голове): Good morning, my Sweetie! How are you today? I hope, it will be a very good day!

Cinderella (улыбается): The sun is so warm, the sky is so blue. Today you are at home. We are so close: me and you!

(Звучит музыка №1. Входит мачеха с дочерью.)

Stepmother (надменно): We’ll go to the ball today. You, Basil, go away! This is the invitation from the King. It came from the palace on a silvery plate.

Stepmother: It says that the Prince…

Stepsister 1: … who’s handsome and tall!

Stepmother: … will choose a young bride tonight at the ball!

Stepsisters 2: A ball! Oh, what a fun!

Stepsister 1(прихорашивается перед зеркалом): We will go to the ball!

Stepsister 2: We will go to the ball!

Stepsister 1: Cinderella, bring me a powder!

Cinderella: One minute, one minute.

Stepsister 2: Cinderella, bring me a mirror!

Cinderella: One minute, one minute. May I go to the ball?

Stepsister 1: Of course, no! You haven’t got a beautiful dress.

Stepsister 2: You haven’t got beautiful shoes.

Stepmother: And you have got a lot to do at home!!!

Stepsister 1: (хихикая): You can’t go to the ball!

Stepsister 2: Until you do this all!

Stepsister 1: Oh dear, Cinderella, so dirty and small!

Stepsister 2: You can’t have a dance with the Prince at the ball! (Звучит музыка № 1. Мачеха с дочерьми уходят.)

Cinderella (читает вслух): Clean the house, wash the blouse, sweep the floor, fix the door, bake a cake… Oh! (плачет).

Scene II

Cinderella (плачет): I have no dress, I have no shoes at all. But I want to see the Prince. I want to go to the ball!

Звучит музыка №1 и появляется фея.

Fairy: Why are you crying, my dear, why? Please, don’t cry, baby! Don’t cry!

Cinderella: Oh, dear Fairy Godmother. I can’t go to the ball, because I have no dress, I have no shoes at all…

Fairy: I can help you, believe me! Close your eyes. One- two- three… (Волшебница взмахивает волшебной палочкой, Золушка сбрасывает старый халат и остаётся в красивом платье. С изумлением осматривает себя)

Cinderella: Oh, what can I see? A dress and shoes for me… Thank you, you are so kind! I’m happy now. It’s really fine! Thank you, thank you, my dear! Now I’ll see the Prince! The beautiful ball is near!

Fairy: The carriage is at the front door.

Cinderella (Золушка надевает туфельки убегает, кричит из-за сцены, благодарит фею): Thank you, Fairy Godmother, I can’t wait any more.

Fairy: (кричит ей вслед) But at 12 o’clock you must be here or your dress will disappear! At twelve o’clock, at midnight, be home at your gate. Jump into your carriage and, dear, don’t look back.

Cinderella (радостно): Oh, yes, of course, it’s clear. Thanks, Godmother, don’t worry at all. Before it is the midnight I will leave the ball.

Scene III

(Звучит музыка №2. Начинается бал, выходят король, принц, гости.)

Stepsister 1: A wonderful evening, Your Royal Majesty!

Stepsister 2: Good evening, Your Royal Majesty!

Stepmother: A lovely day, Your Royal Majesty! Thank you for invitation! You look great, Your Majesty!

The King: Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen! I’m glad to see you again! The ball is on. Let’s dance and play. Let’s have a lot of fun today!

Звучит музыка. В зал входит Золушка, осматривается, все смотрят с восхищением.

The King: (обращается к Принцу): Look at that girl! She is so nice and slim.

Prince: (подходит к Золушке): Hello! Let’s dance! You are my dream!

Звучит музыка№2. Принц и Золушка танцуют.

Fairy: The Prince saw no others that warm night at the ball, and they were dancing round the pretty palace hall. They danced and laughed the whole night. The girl and Prince were happy… But, Dear, it is midnight! (Часы бьют 12)

Cinderella (испуганно): It’s twelve o’clock, I have to go! (Убегает, теряя одну туфельку)!

Prince: Why are you running, I wanna know! Why are you leaving now? Come back, don’t go! And what is your name, I want to know!

Scene IV

Комната в доме Золушки. Сёстры с мачехой сидят на стульях сплетничают. Золушка прибирается и подслушивает их разговор.

Stepmother: Who was that girl?

Stepsister 1: She was so tall!

Stepsister 2: She was the prettiest at the ball!

Stepmother – (обращает внимание на шум за окном) What’s the matter?

The guard: (появляется под окнами (под сценой) и читает королевский указ. Дочери с матерью и Золушка, застыв, слушают глашатая): Attention! Attention! Wanted a girl. She is so beautiful, she is very tall! Her eyes are brown, her hair is dark. She’s got a small foot. She’s lost her nice shoe. Every girl in the kingdom must try it on.

(Идут в зал и примеряют туфельку девочкам в зале: This is not your size. (Мачеха зовёт слуг в дом.)

Stepmother: Come in, gentlemen! I have two daughters; they want to try the shoe on!

Охранники поднимаются на сцену. Дочери сидят на скамеечке и вытягивают ноги, чтобы примерить туфлю

Stepsister 1: I want to try the shoe

The guard: This is not your size

Stepsister 2: I want to try the shoe

The guard: This is not your size

Stepmother: I want to try the shoe

The guard: This is not your size. Are there any other girls in the house?

Stepmother, daughter1 and daughter2: No, No, No

Prince (заметив Золушку): But who is that girl? She is nice and tall. Come here, please! Try on this shoe, pretty Miss!

Stepmother (возмущенно): But she didn’t go to the ball!!!

Father (принцу): Give her the shoe! Her foot is small.

Prince (встает на одно колено перед Золушкой): I’m happy, I have found you! I love you, and I’d like to marry you.

Cinderella (радостно): Oh, yes, my Prince, I love you too.

Fairy: The day of their wedding was a day full of laughter

And of course they both lived happily ever after!

(Звучит музыка. Все персонажи сказки выходят на поклон.)
