 Washington is the capital of the United States of America. The city was named in honour of George Washington who was the first President of the USA. The main building of the city is the President’s House, which is called White House because it is white.

Washington is a large and important city but it doesn’t look like most big cities in the USA. The buildings are not high because it can’t be higher than the Capitol. It is the place where the United States Congress meets.

There are a lot of places in Washington where unique cultural, historical or scientific masterpieces are kept such as the National gallery of art and Smithsonian National Museum and others.

Washington offers different activities to amuse and interest people. Friendship Park is one of the best playgrounds with lots of attractions, tunnels and climbing structures.
