My name is Ann. I'm in the eighth form at school, where I'm studying Eng¬lish, French and many other interesting subjects. My elder sister, Betty, is studying History at one of the univer¬sities. Betty can organize her time wisely, when I do not know what order I should do things in. I find it hard to get up on time, and usu¬ally I do not get enough sleep. It’s not useful for my health. I have to wind two alarm-clocks to make sure I do not oversleep.
My sister, an early riser, is awake by 7 o'clock, refreshed and full of energy. While I'm wandering round the kitchen, fighting the urge to go back to bed, my sister man¬ages to have a quick shower, make her bed, put on make-up, do her hair, eat a full breakfast and set off to the university. It takes me an hour and a half to get ready. I have a hasty bite and rush out of the house. Even if I catch a bus at once I still arrive at school 15 minutes late, which always makes me feel guilty. I know that my lifestyle is dangerously chaotic. I should change it as soon as possible. My mother says that regularity in life will help promote my health. And I agree with her. It could change my life to the best.

Nowadays our life is getting tenser. People live under the press of different problems, such as social, ecological, economic and others. They constantly suffer from stress, noise and dust in big cities, diseases and instability. A person should be strong and healthy in order to overcome all difficulties. To achieve this aim people ought to take care of their physical and mental health. There are several ways to do it. The state of your body depends on how much time you spend doing sports. At least, everybody must do morning exercises every day. The healthiest kinds of sports are swimming, running and cycling. Healthy food is also a very important factor. Overeating causes many dangerous diseases. The daily menu should include meat, fruit and vegetables, milk product, which are rich with vitamins, fat, proteins and etc. On the other hand, modern diets are very popular especially among women. Diets may be harmful, if they are used in the wrong way. To be healthy, people should get rid of their bad habits. It’s necessary to stop smoking and drinking much. Everyone should remember that cigarettes, alcohol and drugs destroy both body and brain. Besides, according to statistics the most of crimes are committed by people under the influence of drugs and alcohol. In addition, it is recommended to watch TV less, avoid anxiety and observe daily routine. Certainly it’s hard to follow all these recommendations, but every person has to choose between healthy life style and numerous illnesses.

A. Scientists have proved a healthy diet contains reduced amounts of cholesterol, fat, sugar and salt. It helps protect our body from a wide range of diseases such as heart diseases, liver diseases, and cancer.It is important to have a proper diet. In order to be healthy and feel good a person should have regular meals – at least three times a day plus some snacks in between. A person should eat a lot of vegetables and fruit, nuts, fish, lean meat, rye bread, dairy products. We also should avoid eating many sweets – chocolates, candies, pies as they cause obesity.
B. Moreover, we should live an active life. A person should play sports, go jogging, play different games, and walk a lot. Of course, not everybody can do sports professionally, but we all can do our morning exercises at least. Physical exercises build muscles, burn fat, improve people’s mood.
C. Thirdly, people should avoid stressful situations as they lead to insomnia, mental disorders, and other illnesses. It is important to balance family life and work. We should find time for themselves and their hobbies.
