Tigers live alone in the rainforests of south-east Asia and India. They Hunt at night and they eat only meat. An adult male is more than two meters long and 90 centimeters tall. A large tiger can weigh more than 300 kilograms. Tigers live for about

25 years in the wild. They have thick, striped fur, which helps them to

hide while they are hunting. Their fur is also why humans hunt and kill them, and why they are in danger. Another reason is then humans cut down the trees in the forests where they live. There are probably fewer than 28 000 tigers in the wild.
