I think that knowledge of English can be very useful in my life. Wherever you are on the globe, you will probably hear English everywhere. In Russia, where learning foreign languages for children is compulsory, most learn English. In Norway, Sweden and Denmark necessarily learn English. Of all European countries, not different territories, about the historical processes of rapprochement and divergence of the carriers of different dialects and languages. English is one of the Germanic languages of the Indo-European language family. About 410 million people use English as a native language, around 1 billion people (including those for whom English is the second language) speak English in English.
First, knowing English, we can get more information from different media, where
all the technical information is written in English, then you can read books in the original context, the translation does not always objectively reflect the true feelings and emotions that the author has put into the novel.

And your hobby? After all, everyone has a hobby - everyone has it's own, but everyone loves music and a song, it's not a secret. And knowing the English language, you will always know exactly what the American singer is singing.
And movies? In this case, you also do not need an interpreter at all. And the Internet? It is generally a bottomless ocean of information - but most of the most necessary, just in English.
By the way, more than one and a half billion people speak exactly in English, and the same number is being studied. After all, almost all international conferences and competitions are held in English. Recall only the contest "Miss World" and the Olympic Games. But even in international organizations, like the UN, NATO, UNESCO, the WTO - English is the main language.
By the way, thanks to the English language, you can also earn money by translating texts not only for your acquaintances, but also open your own bureau for translating various literature from English into Russian and vice versa.
First of all, English is a programming language and computers. The keyboard of all computers has keys in English.
English words and expressions come from our television screens. Some television programs have names in English (Comedy Club - comedy club; Comedy Woman - funny woman; The Smurfs - Smurfs, my favorite cartoon; Animal Planet - Animal Planet, Discovery - Discovery, channels on TV).
