TEXT 1.

Too much fat! Hamburgers, pizza, fried chicken and chips usually contain lots of bad fats. People often like to eat this food. But too much fat leads to obesity and causes different illnesses. Junk food is a synonym of fast food. There is a lot of salt in junk food. It’s also harmful . There is too much sugar! It spoils teeth and is bad for your blood. Of course, a human body needs some fat, salt and sugar. Maybe it’s OK to eat junk food sometimes. If you want to eat some junk food choose grilled fish and chicken instead of fried and vegetarian pizza instead of fatty meat pizza.

Five ways to reach a healthy weight.

Regular physical activity burns calories and builds muscle – it helps you to look and feel good and keep fit. Walking the family dog, cycling to school and doing other things for your daily activity can all make a difference. If you want to burn more calories, add some strength exercises to build muscle. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn, even when you aren’t exercising.

Fruit and vegetables are more than vitamins and minerals. They’re also packed with fibre, which means they fill you up. And when you eat fruit and vegetables, you’re less likely to overeat when it comes to high-calorie foods like chips and cookies.

Sizes of portions have become bigger over the last ten years, and it means extra calories. Another important key factor in weight gain is that more people drink sugary drinks like juice and energy drinks. So choose smaller portions and drink water or low-fat milk instead of cola.

One reason people get less exercise these days is because of the increase in ‘screen time’ – the time people spend watching TV, looking at the computer or playing video games. Limit screen time to less than 2 hours a day.

Breakfast gives you energy to do more during the day. People who don’t have breakfast often feel so hungry that they eat more later. So they get more calories and become fat.
