The Earth is a beautiful place to live in. But it has a lot of ecological problems. Every year world industry pollutes the atmosphere with tons of dust. The air is polluted by power stations and factories. Their activity pollutes the air we breathe, the water we drink, the land we grow vegetables. The air in the cities is also very dirty. There are more and more cars there and they polluted the environment. Water pollution is a very serious problem as well. Rivers, seas and oceans are in danger. Some rivers are empty of fish. Since 1980 the number of fish in the Russian rivers half reduced. Only one per cent of all fresh water people may use without special cleaning. The cleanest water is in Finland. As a result people suffer from different diseases or die because of the pollution.
Forests are disappearing. People cut down a lot of trees. During the 20th century many species of plants, animals and birds have already disappeared. Also millions of animals die as people destroy their natural habitat.
We can say that pollution is very dangerous for people, wildlife and the environment. People should do their best to solve it.
