Main aim: by the end of the lesson the students will be able to use new vocabulary the parts of the body words and constructions and know their meanings

Information about the class: There are 7 preschool pupils in the class from Russia.
The students (pupils) are from elementary class in my kindergarten and I have been teaching them twice a week for 30min.
I have been using an elementary coursebook – Up and Up! It’s me! Erin Bouma,Tatiana Klementieva - and this lesson is based on Step 5 of this book. I will teach the vocabulary, constructions, using TPR.

Flashcards (vocabulary)
Video material (youtube Internet) DVD Kids English-Pumpkin.com-Body Parts
Assumptions
Students already know some commands, such as 'Touch… ' Copy…, 'Do with me…', the word pumpkin, a game «I spy…»
Timetable fit:
It’s suitable for my students (pupils) because they are very active and kinesthetic kids. They need lots of short activities to keep them interested. They like games, rhymes, songs, cartoons.

1. Repeat the words, using a game about English tongue, come back to the most difficult ones at the end of the class. 2. Change interaction patterns. Allow SS to work individually due to their personal learning styles. Be sensitive with pairing. 3. Demonstrate by an example. Do the commands with him/her individually. 4. Give him/ her a leading role in this game, activity. |

Create interest to pronounce new words with a game «I spy» and «The face» poster.
Present the vocabulary Elicit/teach new words.
Help students understand the meaning of the vocabulary and help students to pronounce the words accurately. Present TPR instructions. Encourage confidence. Work on oral comprehension.

The teacher (T) says: Hello children(Ch)! Ch: Hello Let’s learn about our face today. Look at my poster! Try to guess! What is it? I spy with my little eye, something beginning with [n]. Do you give up? Ch: yes /no T: Now, watch the Pumpkin show and repeat the words. T: Look at me and do with me! (words and constructions) Eye - Eyes. I see with my eyes. (Teacher points to her eye, eyes…) Ear - Ears. I hear with my ears. Nose. I smell with my nose. Mouth. Look at my picture with a dog. Her tongue is between her teeth. (The teacher points to the dog’s tongue). Show me your tongue, please. (The tongue goes out and says [θ] ).Say with a dog [θ] (chorus and individually)
I eat with my mouth. Hair. Tooth. Teeth. Head. Tongue. T: Let’s play a game «Teachers and Monkeys». Teacher divides pupils into pairs and says: Yulia and Masha,… Face each other. Work in pairs. (Teacher gives to all «teachers» special black hats, to «monkeys» - hats with monkeys and helps to put them on). Yulia - You’re a teacher. Masha - You’re a monkey. Teachers, raise your right hand up and wave! Monkeys, show me your hands (paws), keep them in front of you and say «ooh». Teachers, please, show us and say: Eye – Eyes – I see with my eyes. Monkeys, please, repeat and copy. Eye – Eyes – I see with my eyes…etc
Teachers and Monkeys work in pairs. T: Very good. The game is over. T: Let’s draw a face. Please, you say the parts of the face words, I draw a face. Extra activity. Teacher gives each child a piece of paper and some crayons. The children draw their face and say the parts of face. T: Thank you for your pictures. The lesson is over. Good-bye. Ch: Good-bye.
