Introduction

The relevance of the topic of our work is determined by the fact that currently youth organizations are of great importance in the modern world.

The goals of my research are:

to study the issue of youth movement and youth organizations, their role in the society of the UK and Russia

To find differences and similarities in both countries

to identify the most common British and Russian youth organizations metal and its types.

Relevance and practical significance of the work:

We can get lots of new information, use it in the research as I did. To work with the different texts, develop our attention skills, logic by ignoring extra information.

In the work I used the following research methods:

analysis

сomparison

generalization

Youth has always been regarded to be the nicest period of human lives. It is the period when young people can be carefree without the burden of responsibility which brings the parenthood or daily winning of ones bread. But youth, seemingly a free time of life, also brings some specific problems.

It is the period of life when people make the most important decisions that can have fatal consequences for their future family and career. These decisions, and also the difficult period of early parenthood or professional career, following abruptly the carefree period of early youth, demands personal maturity.

Policies affecting young people cover a wide range of activities from education, health and housing to employment, criminal justice and participation in public life. This means an increasingly important role for youth policy within mainstream politics which requires a more integrated approach to the needs of young people, intensified contact with youth organizations and further involvement in practical activities such as youth work, non-formal approaches to education, volunteering and development.

Pressing social problems such as racism, unemployment, unhealthy lifestyles, intolerance, discrimination against minorities, gender inequality and lack of integration for people with disabilities pose significant challenges both for the present and the next generation .

The problems of young people reflect the problems of society as a whole, but these are more striking, as young people are more vulnerable, given that they are more dependent. To many it might think that youth itself is a problem but it is better and more fruitful to see young people as a solution to a problem, as an asset and base on which the societies of the future can be built.

There’re a lots of youth organizations in the world. They play an important role in the life of teenagers and young people. They help them to make new friends, to work as a team, to find things they are interested in and do some public work.

That is why it is important to concentrate on the youth organizations and their activities and to try to figure out how it might serve the honorable purpose of building up a new society.

Religious organizations in Britain include plenty of different organizations, representing lots of faiths (the Methodist Association of Youth Club, YMCA, Protestant Boy's Brigade, etc.).

Club organizations, which are not religious, include the National Association of Boy's Club, the Cooperative Youth Movement and many school clubs associated with schools and sport centers. These movements are free to decide on their own organization and activities, but they all work on the principle of supplying young people with creative and constructive activities, both indoors and outdoors. Many of these clubs are organized by local educational authorities, but most are run by volunteers. Most clubs are small and open one or more night a week.

Regular activities of youth clubs may include badminton, basketball, darts, fitness, judo and etc. Group of members may also meet for drama, art and music, running a club magazine.

Many youth club members enjoy helping other people, by doing jobs for old and infirm people, or by helping charities.

Boy's Brigade is an international organization for boys from 6 to 18. It works to develop Christian beliefs among its members through educational, religious, physical and social activities. The Boy's Brigade is active chiefly in Great Britain and about 60 other countries, including Australia, New Zealand and many African countries.

The Boy's Brigade was founded in 1833 in Glasgow, Scotland, by Williams Alexander Smith, a Scottish merchant. It was one of the first uniformed youth organizations.

Youth Organization Greenpeace deals with most urgent ecological problems. It protests against nuclear weapon tests, sea and soil pollution, etc.

The Youth Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (YCND) unites young people and organizes mass rallies and meetings, demonstrations, marches of protest, festivals. It co-operates with the National Union of Students.

t1667158869an.gif

Having considered only a few youth organizations, we can say that young people in the UK are more involved in scouting , while the youth of Russia chooses patriotic organizations.

The prospects of children's and youth associations are obvious, because young people are leading the way in the development of the country. Young specialists make a significant contribution to the modernization of society, both at the human and technological level.

The conducted research makes it possible to identify a number of problems that require special study. This is the identification of trends in the development of the socio-cultural situation in Britain and Russia, which affect the change of interests, attitudes and orientations of young people in the field of free pastime, the study of real behaviors of modern adolescents and youth in their free time.
