Why Do People Travel?

Everyone has different hobbies. Some people like to read, to collect something, to write poems or to study languages. I would say that the world of hobbies is huge and various. But there are some people who travel and live with only one-two luggage.
In general people travel for work, to have vacation, to visit friends and relatives, to see new places. People who travel very often they look for emotions. I think they don’t try to eat in good restaurants, to wear brand new clothes and so on. They just want to discover interesting places, to meet new people, to learn different culture and history.
One day I would also like to travel so. It’s not so much important to have a lot of money to travel, but to know how to make as much money to have enough to travel. It’s ok to work a lot and to buy less. But at least sometimes you can take a car or train and travel wherever you want. My life could be so much interesting if I start traveling. And maybe in future it will be.
I think everyone can travel today. If it makes you happy and you have some plans for future, go somewhere and look for your vacation. For sure it will be the best decision in your life.

Travelling. Means of Transport

Of course, travelling by plane is the fastest and the most comfortable way of travelling to other cities and countries. But at the same time it is the most expensive too.

When you go by plane you must arrive at the airport one or two hours before the flight and try not to miss the plane. On the plane you sit in a comfortable armchair and can watch a film, have a meal, listen to music, play a game, see the sky or sleep. But if you are afraid of going by plane it is not for you.

Travelling by train is slower than by plane, but when you are on the train you can look through the window and see the nature of the country. Modern trains have very comfortable seats. If your trip is short you can sit at the small square table and have tea, coffee or lunch. If your journey is long you can even sleep upstairs or downstairs. When you want to go by train you must buy a single or a return ticket in the booking office at the railway station or buy it online. Then you take your luggage and go to the railway station where you find the platform in the timetable. From the platform you get on the train and your journey begins.

Travelling by ship is rather expensive and not very popular in our country but it is very popular abroad. On large ships and small river boats passengers can visit foreign countries and different places of interest of their country too. It is very nice to be on board the ship and to see the water, to feel a fresh sea wind which is blowing in the face and to hear the cry of the sea birds.

Travelling by car is very comfortable too. You don’t have to book tickets. You can take much luggage and put it at the back of the car. You can stop where and when you want and spend there as much time as you like.

Оценочные материалы для промежуточной аттестации

Критерии оценки

Каждый вариант задания состоит из трех частей: 1 часть – «грамматика, лексика», 2 часть – «чтение», 3 часть – «перевод». Максимальное количество балов, которое можно набрать за выполнение данной работы – 30 баллов.

В 1 части – «грамматика, лексика» содержится 15 пунктов заданий №1 и №2. За каждое правильно выполненное задание в 1 части обучающийся получают по одному баллу.

Во 2 части – «чтение» содержится 5 вопросов, на которые обучающийся должен дать полный письменный ответ. За каждый правильный ответ во второй части обучающийся получает по одному баллу.

В 3 части – «перевод» содержится диалог, который необходимо перевести письменно с английского языка на русский язык. Во втором задании 3 части необходимо составить три вопроса письменно на английском языке к тексту диалога. Диалог в каждом варианте имеет 8 реплик. Максимальное количество баллов, которое можно получить за перевод диалога – 4 балла. В следующей таблице отражена оценка перевода диалога в процентах и баллах:

За каждый составленный вопрос в письменном виде во втором задании 3 части обучающийся получает по 2 балла.
