The planet we live on is called Earth. Earth goes around a star called the Sun, and as such classifies as a planet.

The Sun and everything that circles it form together a system called the solar system (solar = of the sun). In our solar system, there are additional seven planets, and dwarf planets (planetary objects which do not qualify as planets).

Each of these planets takes a different amount of time to travel around the Sun. For the Earth, this journey is 365.25 days long, but for a faraway planet like Neptune, it takes 165 years. There are smaller objects which do not circle the Sun, but around these planets. They are called satellites, or moons, just like Earth's only natural satellite.

Dogs have been around humans for many years – they were the first species to be domesticated. For over 1000 years, humans have been breeding dogs to have specific physical attributes or behaviors.

This is why today there are more than 330 different breeds of dogs. Some are even smaller than cats, while others, like the English Mastiff, are much bigger than humans.

The grey wolf is the closest living relative of dogs. Some breeds like the Husky still look like wolves. At first, humans' leftover food attracted wolves to interact with humans. Soon after, wolves started traveling along with the nomads.

Snowy Day Story

Вопросы зачитывать не нужно! Только назвать группу A-H и номер вопроса (например, 1, 9, 17, 25, 33).

Аудиозапись ответа не должна превышать 3-х минут

Критерии оценки:

За верное выполнение заданий 1, 3 учащийся получает по 2 балла, заданий 2, 4 – по 3 балла, заданий 5-8 по 5 баллов.

Если в кратком ответе сделана орфографическая ошибка, ответ считается неверным. За неверный ответ или отсутствие ответа выставляется 0 баллов.

Критерии оценивания устного высказывания в Приложении 1.

Максимальное количество баллов, которое можно набрать за выполнение всей работы – 30 баллов.
