Reading is an important part of our life. Since childhood you are surrounded by books. And even without any skills in reading the child demands his parents to read him a book.
Growing up and acquiring knowledge he gets into the world of books more deeper and observes with interest new passages of knowledge, opening before him. What are the books? They are a source of knowledge, information and entertainment.
A book is a greatest wonder in the world today. It gives us a unique chance to link up with authors who lived thousands years ago. Thanks to books we can talk to people who lived in different ages, countries. Through reading we hear and feel their voices, thoughts, feelings. The book is the surest way to bring up people together. It gives us an insight not only into the past but also into the future. The book is a faithful friend, it can be put outside and taken up again at any moment.
I’m keen on reading since my childhood. Reading plays a significant role in my life and I try to devote my free time to it. I have books which have been my favourite since childhood. Here are the examples of books which will be forever in my memory: “Harry Potter”. They bring me pleasure and appeal to my interests. These books influenced greatly my outlook, way of life and moral values: friendship, love, unselfishness, kindness, generosity and so on.
There are a lot of types of books. More often I prefer to read literature with happy end an such books give me many moments of pleasure and delight.
The feelings I experience during reading the book are determined by the contents of it, its problems, its language and the way the characters are depicted. It’s always interesting to read a book in which the author depicts the same troubles, joys, feelings, hardships that had experienced and tried to overcome in his life. When characters of the heroes are vividly drawn in the book, when the book appeals to the readers own interests, of course, it’s a great pleasure to read it.
