Тема: « Школьная жизнь»

Задачи: Развивать навыки и умения аудирования, устной речи, чтения, письменной речи. Практиковать учащихся в использовании в речи изученной лексики по теме «Школьная жизнь» (“School Life”). Повторить грамматический материал: Preset Simple (утвердительные и отрицательные предложения). Учить вести диалог-расспрос с целью получения необходимой информации. Развивать умения анализировать информацию в воспринимаемом на слух тексте. При работе с текстом практиковать учащихся в умении согласиться или опровергнуть утверждения, обсуждать прочитанную информацию. Развивать память, внимание, учебно-информационные умения и навыки (при чтении), коммуникативные умения и навыки (в процессе общения), умение сконцентрироваться для успешного выполнения. Воспитывать положительное отношение к иностранному языку, интеллектуальную активность, умение слушать других, тактичность, положительное отношение к школьным правила.


 

Оборудование: учебник Биболетовой М.З. “Enjoy English 5”, карточки с заданиями, картинки с изображением детей на разных уроках, магнитофон, аудиокассета с записью текста “Primary Schools in England”, распечатка с текстом “Santi goes to school”.

Организационный момент.

Основная часть

Представление темы урока. Целеполагание.

T: Look at the blackboard and read the words. Guess what the title of the lesson is.

Дети читают слова, называют ключевое слово (название темы урока) – School/Life

T: The title of the lesson is “School Life”. At this lesson we shall revise words, read and discuss the text, do exercises, act out dialogues.

T: What are you going to do at the lesson?

P: We shall also improve our pronunciation.

3. Фонетическая разминка.

T: Read the proverb: Live and learn.

And what subjects do pupils learn at school?

4. Речевая разминка

P: British pupils have Science, French, Maths, … in their timetable.

T: Lets’s play the game “Correct my sentences”. Listen to me and be careful.

Pupils solve difficult problems at Music lessons.

5.Работа с текстом.

T: Let’s check up your homework.

You had to read the text about Santi’s school. Let’s read the text and do some exercises.

b). Put these sentences in the correct order to make a summery of the text about Santi.

6. Ролевая игра «Интервью».

T: Lets’s play the game “Interview”

You are journalists from different newspapers and magazines. Interview pupils from different countries. This plan will help you.

I. Listen to the text and answer the questions:

II. Listen to the text once more and say if the statements are true or false.

English pupils usually leave school at the age of sixteen.

English pupils have classes six days a week.

They have 4 classes on Saturday.

9. Повторение грамматического материала.

T: Look at the pictures. What do pupils do at the lessons? What do children do during the break?

Make up sentences, write them down and then make them interrogative and negative.

Примерные предложения:

Children sing songs at Music lessons.

Pupils draw pictures at Art lesson.

Ann reads stories (a book) at Literature lessons.

Girls talk during the break.

They listen to music during the break.

10. Подведение итогов.

T: Let’s remember the aims of our lesson. We had to act out dialogues, read and discuss the text, revise words, listen to the text about primary schools in England and do exercises. Have we achieved our aims?

Read the text about Santi’s school.


 

SANTI GOES TO SCHOOL.


 

Santi is a little boy who is eight. He lives in Central Africa and goes to school there.School starts at seven o’clock in the morning, but he goes to school at half past six. Why? Well, he wants to get a desk near the teacher’s table. In Santi’s class there are fifty-two pupils.

The pupils play in the playground before classes. Some of them wear their school uniform: a white blouse or a shirt and a blue skirt or trousers. When they come into the classroom, many of the girls take off their blouses and skirts. They usually wear T-shirts and shorts in the classroom. They do this because they are not comfortable in them as it is very hot in the room and because they don’t want to get their uniforms dirty.

Before classes they sing one or two songs. The pupils have classes five days a week. Every day they have five lessons. They study English, Maths, Geography, P.E., History, Music and Art. They have swimming, games and computer studies too.

After classes Santi plays football and then goes home. When he comes home, he has something to eat. He usually watches cartoons on TV before he does his homework.

Primary Schools in England.

In Great Britain schools begins at the age of five. Many boys and girls usually leave school at the age of sixteen.

The English think that Monday is not a good day to start school. So pupils usually begin their school year on the first Tuesday of September.

Classes usually begin at nine. Their classes are not formal. They often sit on the carpet on the floor and listen to their teacher.

English pupils have classes five days a week. Classes are usually over at 4 o’clock and then the pupils go home. They don’t have classes on Saturday and Sunday. Saturdays and Sundays are their days off.

Pupils of primary school have English, Maths, history, Nature Study, Geography, Art, Music, Physical Education and Religion in their timetable.

Children spend a lot of time outdoors. They visit different museums and other famous and interesting places.
