«Journey of the Little Prince»

Цель урока: формирование и развитие лексических навыков и знаний по космической тематике на английском языке. 

Задачи:

Образовательные: сформировать лексические навыки; систематизировать и укрепить знания по космической тематике; сформировать умения монологической и диалогической речи путем создания условий для коммуникации

Воспитательные: воспитывать патриотические качества личности и уважительное отношение к достижениям российских космонавтов

 Развивающие: развивать творческие способности, мышление, мотивацию к изучению английского языка и литературы.

Действующие лица: Ведущий, Маленький принц


Оборудование: проектор, интерактивная доска, листы с заданиями


Ход урока:


Учитель: Good morning dear students and guests!

P: Good morning.

T: I am glad to see you.

P: We are glad to see you too.

T: Thank you, sit down.

T: What’s the date?

P: Today is the 7thof March.

Teacher: During our lesson we are studying about. Today we will speak about our planet. Today we are visiting the hero of the fairy tale french aristocrat, writer, and military pilot Antoine de Saint Exupery “The little prince”. And make up at the end of the lesson planet Earth visiting card to give it to the little prince.

Which holiday we will conduct this dramatization in honor?

Students: In honor of Space Day, which is celebrated on April 12?

Teacher: Right. On April 12, 1961, for the first time in the history of mankind, our country carried out a manned flight into space. The first cosmonaut of the earth was a citizen of our country. Who is he?

Students: He is Yuri Gagarin

Teacher: Right.(на слайде портрет космонавта) Yuri Gagarin is the first cosmonaut in the world. He was born on March 9,1934 in the Smolensk region. In 1951 he finished a vocational school in Lyubertsy. Yuri Gagarin began to flay when he was a student of a technical secondary school. In 1955 he entered a flying school. On April 12,1961 Yuri Gagarin flew into space for the first time in history. He spent 108 minutes in space. When he came back in his spaceship “Vostok” he was made a Hero of the Soviet Union and was awarded the Gold Star medal.

Teacher: Let's do a little workout. I read you a description; your task is to guess what it is.

Leading: Are you alone? Where are your parents? Baby, tell me, where are the adults you came here with?

Prince: I did not come, but flew in.

Prince: There are no adults on my planet.

The Earth is one of eight planets that travel around the sun in the solar system.

There are six continents on earth. They are: Europe and Asia, Australia, Africa, North America, South America and Antarctica. There are also four big oceans in our planet. They are: the Atlantic Ocean, the Arctic Ocean, the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean.

There is a very cold continent in our planet; it is Antarctica. In winter the temperature in Antarctica is more than 75 degrees below zero. Antarctica is the coldest continent in our planet, and Africa, on the other hand, is the hottest one.

Our planet is an amazing place, but it needs our help to thrive! That’s why each year on April 22, more than a billion people celebrate Earth Day to protect the planet from things like pollution and deforestation. By taking part in activities like picking up litter and planting trees, we’re making our world a happier, healthier place to live.


Teacher: And now, using all the words and knowledge that we remembered today, make a visiting card of our planet. Let's work in groups. The first group your task is to fill out the card. The second group should to position the planets correctly and label them. Also sign earth satellite.
