Мероприятие, приуроченное Году литературы и 70-летия Победы

в Великой Отечественной войне, на трех языках

(английский, русский, татарский)

Цель:

  • познакомить студентов с отдельными фактами жизни и творчества У. Шекспира;
  • показать эпоху, формировавшую эстетические идеалы поэта;
  • продемонстрировать волшебство шекспировской поэзии.

Задачи:

  • Практические - совершенствовать навыки устной речи по теме.
  • Воспитательные - воспитывать интерес к стране изучаемого языка, государственным языкам республики Татарстан; умение сотрудничать друг с другом.
  • Развивающие - развивать способности учащихся в драматизации.

Teacher: (слайд 1) By the decree of the President of the Russian Federation of 13 June 2014 "On the implementation in the Russian Federation year of literature" 2015 is declared the year of Literature. The main objectives of which are to attract attention to reading and literature. Designed corporate identity of the year of literature: on the official logo the colours of the Russian flag, depict the profiles of the great Russian writers A. S. Pushkin, N. In.Gogol, Anna Akhmatova. In the framework of the year of literature and the 70th anniversary of the victory in the great Patriotic war today we are gathered here to learn more about the era of William Shakespeare.

Указом президента РФ от 13 июня 2014 года «О проведении в РФ года литературы» 2015 год объявлен годом Литературы. Основными задачами которого являются привлечение внимания к чтению и литературе. Разработан фирменный стиль Года литературы: на официальном логотипе, выполненном в цветах Российского флага, изображены профили великих русских писателей А.С.Пушкина, Н.В.Гоголя, А.А.Ахматовой. В рамках года литературы и 70-летия победы в Великой Отечественной войне сегодня мы с вами здесь собрались, чтобы больше узнать об эпохе Шекспира.

(слайд 2) William Shakespeare! This name has been known for many centuries.” Soul of the age! The applause! Delight! The wonder of our stage!” Ben Johnson said. If only people do not know much about Shakespeare, they know his quotations. Let’s check it/ You have some sheet of paper. Match them in three languages (Даются цитаты Шекспира, переводы на русский язык, аналоги пословиц на татарском языке. Затем проверяются по слайдам 3-6).

Shakespeare’s life and works

(слайд 7) Pupil 1 .William Shakespeare was born on or about April 23, 1564, in Stratford-on-Avon. His father was a glover and a dealer with wool and other products. In his childhood William went to Grammar School where, besides reading and writing, he was taught Latin. When actors visited Stratford he liked to watch them. In 1582 at just over 18 Shakespeare Anne Hathaway, a farmer’s daughter. They had a daughter and two sons.

Teacher: So, what happened then?

(слайд 8) Pupil 2. Life in Stratford was intolerable for William: there was no money to earn, so he left for London. We know nothing about his life for the next 7 years. But we know for certain that in 1592 a playwright Robert Green wrote an angry pamphlet on Shakespeare from which we may conclude that by that time Shakespeare had become a dramatist.

(слайд 9) Pupil 3. Shakespeare wrote most of his plays for the Globe Theatre. He was a very good actor himself but since, it often happens that the director of a play takes the shorter part for himself. We are told that Shakespeare himself only played the Ghost of Hamlet’s father. Shakespeare lived in London for 25 years. He wrote 154 sonnets, 2 long poems and 37 plays. In 1612 he left London He died on the 23d of April 1616. His tomb is in the Stratford Church. Four lines are inscribed on it:

Teacher: Do you know his plays? What are they? Let’s speak about two of them, the most famous all over the world.

Pupil 4. Hamlet, Prince of Denmark learns of his father’s death and hurries home from the University where he studies. On his arrival Hamlet is shocked at finding his mother married to his uncle, his father’s brother. The suspicion that his uncle is guilty of murder and disappointment in people makes him lose faith in humanity and fall into a mood of depression.

Hamlet’s monologue: «To be, or not to be: that is the question»:

Whether’t is nobler in the mind to suffer

The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,

Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,

And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep.

Pupil 5. The question with which Hamlet confronts us is those which seek an answer in every heart. The problem of “to be or not to be”- the problem of life inequalities and injustices, of the suffering of the innocent, the sense of the world beauty and wonder, the mystery of the power of evil: These are things that touch all that always interest mankind. Hamlet is an essentially tragic figure. He fulfilled the task which was laid upon him-to revenge his fathers’ murder-but fulfilled it in horrible cost: the lives of his mother, Ophelia, Polonius, Laertes, Rozencrantz and himself. The play is full of wisdom life.

Pupil 6. Romeo and Juliet belong to families, the Montegues and the Capulets, separated for generations a vicious feud. Nevertheless they meet and fall in love with each other. Knowing that their parents will oppose their relationship, they marry in secret. But the family feud continues to range around them and compels their deaths.

It is a tragic and wonderful story. The feuds of Capulet and Montegue raise the storm in which young love is wrecked. But the death of the young lovers is the death of the old hate between the two families.

Teacher: Why do you think this sad story still finds an emotional response with the audience?

Pupil 7. Shakespeare told us: love mustn’t be killed. It is forever. Only love makes people be kind and strong, it makes people overcome all difficulties.

To sum up our speaking, Shakespeare is so great writer that every generation discoveries new ideas in his works. Even today we find ideas and problems dealt with in his plays that were not considered before. These are the social problems concerning the relations of man to man in human society. So, read Shakespeare and find a lot of answers on difficult questions.

Teacher: Poets always write about love , including during the various wars, and in all languages, including native language of many of you in Tatar. Let's see the verse of the poem about love of the war years of the great Tatar poet Musa Dzhalil.

О любви писали всегда, в том числе и во время различных войн, и на всех языках, в том числе и на родном языке многих из вас – на татарском. Давайте, послушаем стих военных лет великого татарского поэта М.Джалиля «Ышанма».

Teacher: (Слайд 18) Recently, in our college the essay contest was held about the role of English in the modern world . As you know, ... , the student of your group took part in this competition. At the end of our event I would like to read as an example an excerpt of her essay : «... I study English in order to read novels and poems in original». Literature is needed to man as air, especially good if you read literature in different languages. It teaches to feel people, nature, the world around. It makes us deeply to consider different problems, decorates our life; Reading you start looking at things from different angles, in routine becomes evident that something had not noticed before, literature opens our eyes.

Недавно в нашем техникуме прошел конкурс эссе на английском языке о роли английского языка в современном мире. Как вы знаете. Из вашей группы … участвовала в данном конкурсе. В завершении нашего мероприятия я хочу привести в пример отрывок ее эссе: « … I study English in order to read novels and poems in original» . Литература нужна человеку как воздух, особенно хорошо, если вы читаете литературу на разных языка. Она учит чувствовать – людей, природу, весь окружающий мир. Заставляет нас глубоко рассматривать разные проблемы. Она как ничто другое украшает нашу жизнь; читая, начинаешь смотреть на вещи под разным углом, в обыденности становится видно что-то такое, чего раньше не замечал, на многое открываются глаза.

William Shakespeare, the greatest and most famous of English writers, and probably the greatest playwright who has ever lived, was born on the 23d of April, 1564, in Stratford-on-Avon. 
In spite of his fame we know very little about his life. At the age of six he was sent to school, but had to leave it at the age of 13. His father, John Shakespeare, was a glove-maker, and when he fell into debt, William had to help him in the trade. 
Just what William did between his fourteenth and eighteenth year isn't known. At the age of eighteen, he married Anne Hathaway. Ann was eight years older than her husband and the marriage wasn't a happy one. 
When Shakespeare was twenty-one, he went to London. We don't know why he left Stratford-on-Avon. There is a story that Shakespeare's first job in London was holding rich men's horses at the theatre door. But nobody can be sure that this story is true. 
Later, Shakespeare became an actor and a member of a very successful acting company. It's highly probable that The Comedy of Errors, Romeo and Juliet and some other plays by Shakespeare were performed for the first time on this stage. 
Very soon, however, the actors were told that they could no longer use the land that their theatre was built on and the company had nowhere else to perform. There is a story that in the dead of night the whole acting troop took down their theatre, timber by timber, brick by brick. They carried it across the river and rebuilt it. The new theatre was called the Globe. 
Shakespeare wrote 37 plays: 10 tragedies (such as Hamlet, King Lear, Othello, Macbeth), 17 comedies (such as As You Like It, Twelfth Night, Much Ado About Nothing), 10 historical plays (such as Henry IV, Richard III.). He also left 7 books of poems. His 154 sonnets are known all over the world nowadays. 
Most of Shakespeare's plays were not published in his lifetime. So some of them may have been lost in the fire when the Globe burnt down in 1613. 
Shakespeare spent the last years of his life at Stratford, where he died, ironically, on the same date as his birthday, the 23d of April, 1616. He was buried in the church of Stratford. A monument was erected to the memory of the great playwright in the Poet's Corner in Westminster Abbey. In 1997, Shakespeare's Globe was restored.
