Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку на тему «Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin and his characters from fairy tales»

( «Александр Сергеевич Пушкин и его сказочные персонажи») в 11 классе
Внеклассное мероприятие подготовлено учителем английского языка Беловой Светланой Сергеевной

 

Цель внеклассного мероприятия: Совершенствование навыков монологической речи

Задачи:

  • формировать интерес обучающихся к чтению художественной литературы на английском языке;
  • повторить и закрепить лексический материал по теме «Literature»;
  • воспитать у обучающихся уважение к культуре и образу жизни родной страны;
  • способствовать проявлению у обучающихся умения выступать и презентовать свою работу;
  • научить обучающихся определять цель своего обучения самостоятельно;
  • совершенствовать навыки работы с текстом, используя навыки просмотрового и поискового чтения;
  • научить обучающихся анализировать и выделять необходимую информацию  из текста;
  • научить обучающихся оценивать уровень собственной языковой компетенции.

 

Форма внеклассного мероприятия: «огонек» к 220 юбилею А.С. Пушкина на английском языке. (Мероприятие планируется провести в 2019 году).

 

Оборудование: выставка книг А.С. Пушкина, аудиозапись с музыкальным фрагментом «Три чуда» из оперы «Сказка о царе Салтане» Н.А. Римского-Корсакова, карточки с заданиями на английском языке, портрет А.С. Пушкина, иллюстрации к произведению А.С. Пушкина «Сказка о Царе Салтане», костюмы для инсценировки эпизодов сказки.

Ход урока

 

1.Побуждение к деятельности, погружение обучающихся в тему внеклассного мероприятия.

 

Good morning, boys and girls!Please, look at the pictures on the blackboard, listen to music and guess  what book we will talk about? (Звучит музыкальный фрагмент «Три чуда» из оперы «Сказка о царе Салтане» Н.А. Римского-Корсакова. Учащиеся просматривают картинки к произведениям Александра Сергеевича Пушкина. Обучающиеся узнают, о ком идет речь. Также они узнают и персонажей его произведений).  Who is the author of this book?(Обучающиеся отвечают).Remarkable! You are absolutely right! The author of this book is  Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin.Today our lesson is organized to pay tribute to the great writer. Do you know anything about his life?(Обучающиеся отвечают).

Учитель: Listen to some facts about him right now. And after it,please,answer my questions.


 (Учитель читает отрывок из биографии А.С. Пушкина. Обучающиеся слушают рассказ учителя, отвечают на вопросы по прослушанному тексту)(Приложение №1).

Do you know anything else about A.S. Pushkin? (Обучающиеся рассказывают по-английски, что они еще знают о великом русском писателе)

2.Учебно-познавательная деятельность на внеклассном мероприятии

   Учитель вместе с обучающимися отрабатывают ранее изученные лексические единицы по теме «Literature».

 

  Учитель: Now we'll revise the lexis which will be essential to us in discussion of «The Tale of Tsar Saltan» by Alexander Pushkin. 

 Учитель предлагает обучающимся более подробно познакомиться с отрывками из сказки Александра Сергеевича Пушкина «Сказка о Царе Салтане» на английском языке и определить, кто из героев задействован в этих эпизодах, а также место действия.

Right now, boys and girls, you will be divided into three groups  and you should read an extract from the tale (Приложение 2). After reading answer, please, the following questions. What characters are described in your extracts from text? Where does the action take place?(Обучающиеся работают в группах, а затем отвечают на вопросы по тексту).

Учитель: Find,please, the following information from your text:

 

  1. the appearance of the characters described in the text;
  2. the behavior of the characters described in the text.

 

(Обучающиеся отвечают на вопросы учителя)

Учитель: Good for you, children! And now I'll ask each group to describe a character from the tale in details. Children, be ready to discuss all the information in your groups  and tell about your character to the class. Choose a  costume for your character and represent  him or her. Use the words which are written in your cards for the description. Pupils from other groups should guess the name of your character. (Учитель раздает каждой из групп карточку с именем персонажа сказки. Имя персонажа держат в тайне до момента выступления представителя от каждой группы обучающихся). На карточках написано следующее:

Карточка первая: The first group — Tsar Saltan

(The words for description: high, crown, golden, great, feast, main)

Карточка вторая: The second group — Gvidon

(The words for description: handsome, young, smart, son, ansector, lofty)

Карточка третья: The third group — Princess Swan

(The words for description: brilliant, white, crown, gracious, beautiful, bride)

Обучающиеся в группах готовят подробное описание своего персонажа. Первая группа описывает царя Салтана, вторая группа—Гвидона, третья группа—Царевны Лебедь. Затем от группы выходит к доске по одному обучающемуся, и он или она читают описание своего персонажа. Для выступления учитель предлагает надеть каждому представителю костюм своего персонажа сказки).

Учитель: Well done, pupils! Now I'll divide you into pairs. You are given the cards with the description of Tsar Palace. But several words are absent in the text. You should fill in the gaps in the text with the words which are given below the text (Приложение №3).

(Обучающиеся разделяются по парам и работают с текстом, в котором пропущены слова. В каждый пропуск обучающиеся должны написать подходящее по смыслу слово из предложенных вариантов. Затем обучающиеся читают текст полностью, сверяют собственную работу с образцом, исправляют ошибки (если они есть)).

 

Учитель: You are absolutely right, children! The Palace of Tsar Saltan is the most beautiful one.

 

3.Контроль знаний. Рефлексия.

 

Учитель:  Children, your hometask will be the following: Imagine, that you are in Satan's Palace. Ask him ten questions which you are interested in and then we will try to find an answer to them. Write your questions down in your copybooks.

(Обучающиеся дома должны составить десять вопросов, которые бы они задали лично Царю Салтану, а затем записать их в тетради).

 

Учитель: Answer my questions, please.

- Have we attained the aim of our discussion today? Была ли нами сегодня достигнута цель нашего внеклассного мероприятия?

 

-What interesting things have you learnt from the fairy tale today?

-Did you like the characters of the fairy tale?

-Do you have anything in common with the characters of the fairy tale by A.S. Pushkin?

-Do you have the similar problems?

 Would you like (wouldn’t you like)  to be like the characters of this fairy tale?

- Would you like to read other writings by Alexander Pushkin?

 

(Обучающиеся отвечают на вопросы учителя).

Учитель: Please,assess your work today and choose a mark for yourself.

(Обучающиеся оценивают свою работу на уроке самостоятельно).

The biography of A.S. Pushkin.

Pushkin is the most important Russian writer of all time, like Shakespeare in England or Dante in Italy. Pushkin provided the standards for Russian arts and literature in the 19th century.

Pushkin was born in Moscow in 1799 into an upper-class family. In 1811 he entered a lyceum at Tsarskoye Selo. The education offered at the lyceum shaped Pushkin's life.

He graduated from the lyceum in 1817 and began to work in the foreign office in St. Petersburg.

In 1820 the foreign office transferred Pushkin to Ekaterinoslav, and later to Odessa for writing anti-tsarist poetry. In 1824, for his letter against the tsar, he was exiled to Mikhailovskoye. In 1824, Tsar Nicholas I allowed Pushkin to return to Moscow.

Pushkin felt in love with Natalya Goncharova, who was 16 then, and in 1830 they got married. His wife was suspected of an affair with Baron Georges d'Antes; this became the subject of gossip. Pushkin challenged d'Antes to a duel. Pushkin was wounded and died two days later.

Pushkin was the Russia's greatest poet. In his works he was first influenced by 18th century poets, and then by Lord Byron. Finally he developed his own style, which was realistic but classical in form.

His earliest long poem was romantic "Ruslan and Lyudmila" (1818-1820). A series of verse tales followed "The Prisoner of the Caucasus", "The Robber Brothers", "The Fountain of Bakhchisarai", and "The Gypsies". They were inspired by Byron's poetry.

In 1823 Pushkin began writing his masterpiece "Eugene Onegin", a novel in verse. "Eugene Onegin" became the linguistic and literary standard. It is a commentary on the life of the early 19th century Russia. It is noted for brilliant verse.

He also wrote other long poems, including "Bronze Horseman" (1833), the finest collection of lyrics in Russian literature.

Pushkin created also a number of masterpieces in drama and prose. "Little Tragedies" and "The Stone Guest" are among the best works in the world history of drama. Pushkin's love to Russia's past resulted in his historical drama, "Boris Godunov" (1825). "Tales of the Late I.P.Belkin", "Dubrovsky", "The Captain's Daughter" are the most important of his prose works. Pushkin's use of Russian influenced the great Russian writers Turgenev, Goncharov, Tolstoy.

Pushkin's early death shocked the country. Pushkin, called by many "the sun of Russian literature", belongs among the foremost poets and writers of the world.
