Тема: Special Days. New Year and Christmas.
Обучающие цели: Осваивать во всех видах речевой деятельности новые лексические единицы по теме. Осваивать употребление глаголов make, do. Тренировать утвердительные, отрицательные и вопросительные структуры Present Continuous в устной и письменной речи.
Развивающие цели: Развивать навыки аудирования, общения, самовыражения, рефлексии.
Воспитательные цели: Воспитывать интерес к культуре страны изучаемого языка. Способствовать осознанию возможностей самореализации средствами иностранного языка.
Оборудование: аудиозапись, елка, картинки, задания на доске и на карточках, призы(конфеты).
Тип урока: комбинировано-речевой.
Ход урока.
1.Greeting. Тихо звучит песня <Jingle Bells>
Teacher: Good morning, children! I’m glad to see you. Today we have an unusual lesson. Let’s divide our class into 2 teams: snowflakes and snowballs. We’ll have a talk about New Year and Christmas. We’ll recite poems, sing songs, play games, guess the riddles, write the congratulations and have some fun. The theme of our lesson you can see on the blackboard: «Special Days. New Year and Christmas». Children, who remembers the poems about these holidays?
Учащиеся читают стихи о новогодних праздниках.
New Things
New things to learn, new friends to meet,
New songs to sing, new books to read,
New things to see, new things to hear,
New things to do in this glad New Year.
It is Winter
It is winter, it is Christmas!
Look at our Christmas Tree!
There are big balls, there are nice dolls.
Many candies you can see.
New Year’s Day
New Year’s Day, a happy day!
We are glad and want to play.
We all dance and sing and say:
Welcome! Welcome! New Year’s Day!

2.Vocabulary Practice.
Teacher: Snowflakes and Snowballs, do you know the words 5A, 5B, 5C? Are you sure? Let’s see. Each team take the card and write down the words and phrases in English.
Каждая команда получает карточку со словами и фразами по теме, делает письменный перевод и озвучивает его.
В следующем задании тренируем глаголы make-do. На доске написаны фразы и предложения с пропусками глаголов. Представители команд выходят и заполняют пропуски.
Example:

Подводим итог этого этапа урока, команды получают призы.
3.Speaking.
Teacher: I want you to guess the riddles about the seasons. (Команды отгадывают загадки.)
-This is the season when children ski,
And old Father Frost brings Christmas Tree. (Winter)
-This is the time when the days are cool,
When we eat apples and children go to school. (Autumn)
-The trees are green.
Blue sky we can see.
Winter went away
And the world looks new. (Spring)
-The sun shines.
The flowers bloom.

The rains are few. (Summer)
Teacher: Winter is a nice season. There is much snow everywhere, frosty weather, winter holidays and merry children. We always make preparations for winter holidays. We buy presents, decorate our houses and classrooms, make a special dish and plan our holiday to have some fun.
Teacher: Now, let’s guess the riddles and decorate our New Year’s Tree with some pictures.
