Christmas Day is the most popular holiday in Great Britain. They celebrate Christmas on the 25th of December. There are a lot of traditions connected with Christmas.

Every year the people of Norway give the city of London a present. It’s a big Christmas tree and it stands in Trafalgar Square. People decorate their houses with Christmas trees. Most families decorate their houses with a Christmas tree; buy presents for the family and friends, write Christmas cards. It is a family holiday. Relatives* and friends give each other presents.

Santa Claus or simply "Santa" brings presents to children at Christmas. Santa Clause travels in a sleigh pulled by reindeer. Santa Claus comes through a chimney and puts gifts for children into stockings.

The traditional Christmas dinner is turkey with vegetables and Christmas pudding.

So, Christmas is a merry family holiday for all the people of Great Britain.
