Цель: совершенствовать навык устной речи.

Задачи: - повторить лексику по пройденной теме;

- учить строить монологические высказывания, составлять диалог;

- закреплять в речи клише It takes me … to get to …

How long does it take to get to …?

- закреплять знания об употреблении определённого артикля с географическими названиями, образование множественного числа имён существительных;

- учить взаимодействовать с другими участниками образовательного процесса.

Ход урока:

Организационный момент.

Введение в тему урока. Слайд 2.

Do you like travelling? How do you think what will be the theme of our lesson? - Travelling about Russia.

What will we do today? (Ответы учеников.)

repeat words;

complete the dialogues;

read the text;

repeat the grammar;

- discuss and describe Russia.

Подготовка к составлению диалога.

1) Look at the map. Let’s try to answer the question: What makes Russia a great country? (Ответы учеников.)

- its territory

its history;

its culture;

its great people

We need a list of words. Let’s repeat words. – Слайд 3.

What can you see on the map of Russia? - Слайд 4. (seas, mountains, cities, oceans)

Russia is the largest country in the world, isn’t it?

2) What are there in the north (in the south, in the east, in the west)? (ответы учеников)

DON’T FORGET ‘THE’! (Повторить правило об употреблении определенного артикля ’the’ с географическими названиями).

3) What large Russian cities do know? What are they famous for? Слайд 5.

(Moscow, St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, Volgograd, Yaroslavl)

4) Translate from Russian into English:

1. Куда ты собираешься поехать этим летом? – Where are you going to travel this summer?

2. Москва- столица нашей Родины. - Moscow is the capital of our country.

3. Санкт-Петербург известен своей красотой. – St. Petersburg is famous for its beauty.

4. Архангельск-это морской порт на севере. – Arkhangelsk is a seaport in the north.

5. Волгоград находится на длинной и мощной реке Волге. – Volgograd is situated on the long powerful Volga river.

6. Сколько понадобиться времени, чтобы добраться до Москвы на поезде? - How long does it take to get to Moscow by train?

7. Понадобиться 17 часов, чтобы добраться на поезде до Москвы. - It takes 17 hours to get to Moscow by train.

8. Ты летал на самолете во Владивосток в прошлом году? – Did you fly to Vladivostok last year?

The Animal World of Russia

Russia is large and rich not only in its territories — moun­tains, seas, rivers and forests. The plant and animal worlds of our country are very rich too. We’ve got lots of different animals and birds, trees and flowers. You can find wolves and bears, foxes and hares, squirrels and hedgehogs in our forests. Large and powerful elks live there too. Reindeer live in the north of Russia, tigers in the Far East.

All Russian people know the names of these animals. You can meet them in Russian fairy tales too. Strong bears, clever hares, sly foxes are favourite heroes of tales and fables.

3) Answer these questions about the plant world and the animal world of Russia. (Ученики отвечают на вопросы.)

3) Do they make our country a healthier place to live?

4) Is the place where you live rich in forests?

Where do wild animals live?

Where can you see the reindeer and the tiger on the terri­tory of Russia?

Where do bears live: in the forests, mountains, near riv­ers and lakes?

Do elks live in the mountains/ forests?

What is the home of hares, foxes and wolves?

What wild animals can you see in the place where you live?

What wild animals are favourite heroes of tales and fables? Which of them do we call strong/weak/sly/clever?

4) Is place where you live rich in forests? What can you say about them? (ответы учеников.)

5. Many Russian people are well-known all over the world. Слайд 8.

How can you characterize people? Слайд 9.

6. Групповая работа. Слайд 10.
