Место урока в системе уроков по данной теме - заключительный урок

Цель: создать условия для формирования коммуникативной компетентности учащихся через дискуссию.

Задачи:

Познавательный аспект – сообщение страноведческих знаний о распространении английского языка в мире, причинах его популярности, выяснение наиболее важных мотивов его изучения.

Развивающий аспект – развитие способностей к сравнению фактов, формулированию выводов из услышанного, развитие коммуникативных способностей, развитие познавательного интереса, развитие способностей к логическому мышлению, развитие догадки, развитие межпредметных связей.

Воспитательный аспект – воспитание уважительного отношения к другой культуре, языку, формирование потребности понимать истинные причины популярности английского языка, формирование способностей к совместной работе в группе, воспитание чувства ответственности за совместную работу.

Учебный аспект – формирование лингвострановедческих знаний, формирование коммуникативной культуры учащихся, развитие речевых умений, развитие навыков аудирования .

Ход урока:

Организационный момент. Введение в языковую среду

Teacher: Glad to see you. I hope you are fine. Our lesson is dedicated  to a very interesting  problem. Let's start our lesson and work together.

Вызов. Целеполагание и мотивация.

Просмотр видеоклипа о значимости иностранных языков.

Teacher: Now I want you to listen to the song and then name all the languages in the right order.

(Russian, Spanish, Italian, German, French, English, Russian).

Teacher: Nowadays a lot of people want to know foreign languages. Some of them have become global languages, i.e. languages of the planet. They help people all over the world to exchange information and to develop understanding .

And which language of them is the international and people often call it the major language? Of course, English language.

Today our theme is « English is the major language in modern life ». 

Sometimes people call English the global language, because nearly in all countries of the world people speak it. Today we are going not only speak English, we are going to speak about English
