по теме «Sport. Sport in my life»

Тема урока: Спорт. Спорт в моей жизни

Базовый учебник: «Spotlight-8». Английский язык. 8 класс: учеб. для образоват. организаций: базовый уровень / [О.В. Афанасьева, Д. Дули, И.В.Михеева и др.] – М.: Express Publishing: Просвещение, 2012.

Цели:

Обучающие:

Активизировать лексику по теме «Sport»;

Отработать грамматику по теме «Past Simple» в устной и письменной речи;

Научиться выражать свое мнение заданную тему с использованием лексики по теме;

Научиться высказывать и аргументировать свое мнение по теме урока.

Развивающие:

Развивать коммуникативные умения учащихся в четырех основных видах речевой деятельности (чтение, говорение, аудирование, письмо);

Развивать лексическую и грамматическую (сослагательное наклонение) сторону речи;

Развивать способности к продуктивным речевым действиям;

Развивать внимание, логическое мышление, умение сравнивать и делать выводы, извлекать нужную информацию из текста.

Воспитательные:

Воспитать у учащихся осознанное отношение к использованию технических новинок в повседневной жизни;

Обучить сотрудничеству и работе в группах;

Сформировать навыки межличностного общения;

Воспитать чувства взаимопомощи и поддержки через работу в парах и группах.

Задачи урока:

Научиться выражать свое мнение по теме с использованием изученной лексики;

Распознавать и употреблять в речи различные коммуникативные типы предложений;

Совершенствовать навыки говорения;

Научиться планировать свою собственную деятельность и распределять время;

Развивать навык самостоятельного поиска информации и её систематизации.

Тип урока: комбинированный

Приемы работы: фронтальная, парная, групповая, индивидуальная

Оборудование урока: УМК «Английский в фокусе» для 7 класса общеобразовательных учреждений (авторы В. Эванс, Д. Дули, Б. Оби, О. Афанасьева, И.В.Михеева) 2023 г.; доска, раздаточный материал, аудиозаписи.

Ход урока

Организационный момент (3 мин)

T (teacher): Good morning, pupils. I’m glad to see you. How are you today?

Ps (supposed answer): I’m fine, thank you. And you?

T: I’m also great. Thank you. Take your seats and look through the window, please. What’s the weather like today?

Ps (supposed answer): Today it’s sunny/warm/cloudy/ windy etc.

T: Thank you for your answers, pupils. It’s a wonderful day to continue our fascinating journey in the world of English language, isn’t it?

Ps (supposed answer): Yes, it is.

Постановка цели и задач урока (6 мин)

T (teacher): Look at the board, please. Who wants to read the proverb written on it?

Ps (supposed answer): «A sound mind in a sound body»

T (teacher): Do you agree with this proverb, pupils? Prove your opinions.

Ps (supposed answer):

P1: Yes, I agree that the safety of the body affects the safety of the mind. People should be careful to keep his body intact to keep his mind intact as well.

P2: Yes, I agree, because sound thinking and mental perception helps to keep the body in a healthy state.

P3: Yes, I agree. I strongly agree that a sound mind is in a sound body. It insists that the mind and body should be both healthy and sound. 

T (teacher): Thank you, pupils, for your answers. I absolutely agree with your thoughts. As you have already mentioned, a sound body means a healthy body free from diseases, which means that a healthy person can think normally and able to act instantly in any given situation.  A sound mind is capable of doing good, positive and free-thinking mind. So, pupils, what can we do to support our physical and mental health except eating healthy?

Ps (supposed answer):

P1: We can do different kinds of sports.

P2: We can go to bed on time.

P3: We can pay attention to our hobbies and interest.

P4: We can spend our weekends and holidays actively.

T (teacher): Thank you for your ideas, pupils. All of you are right. Look at the pictures on the board. What do they depict?

Ps (supposed answer): We can see different kinds of sport.

T: Right you are. As you mentioned before, sport is one and, perhaps, the main way to keep our bodies and minds in harmony. So, the pictures on the board reflect the topic of today’s lesson. How do you think what we are going to talk about today?

Ps (supposed answer): The topic of our lesson is Sport, isn’t it?

T: Yes, pupils, today we are going to talk about sport in our life.

T: Open your books on p. 124. Look at the ex. 1. Let’s listen and repeat the names of the sports.

T: Now, let’s do ex. 2 on this page in groups. The task is to divide all the sports into 3 groups: water sports, team sports and individual sports.

(ученики работают в группах, учитель контролирует работу в командах)

T: Well done, pupils. Now, let’s talk about you. What kind of sport do you like? Please, ask each other one by one, starting with …

T: Excellent! It was interesting to hear your answers. Now, let’s listen to other people talking about their favourite sport. Open your books on page 124, exercise 4.

(Ученики слушают аудио из упр. 4 на стр. 124 в учебнике)

T: So, pupils, what is Bill’s/ Amanda’s/Steve’s favourite sport?

Ps (supposed answer):

P1: Bill’s favourite sport is football.

P2: Amanda’s favourite sport is cricket.

P3: Steve’s favourite sport is wind surfing.

FC Rostov is a Russian professional football club based in Rostov-on-Don. The club was established on 10 May 1930, and was initially named Selmashstroy. They were renamed Selmash in 1936 and Traktor in 1941.

In 1964 the club won their Division of Class B. In the Russian-zone play-offs they finished second in the first round and top in the second after defeating Terek Grozny 2–0 in the deciding match, earning promotion to the Soviet First League

The club made an immediate return to the Top League after finishing second in the 1994 First League season. In 2003, they reached the Russian Cup final for the first time, losing 1–0 to Spartak Moscow.

Rostov won the 2013–14 Russian Cup, defeating FC Krasnodar on penalties 6–5. On 18 December 2014, the official website of FC Rostov announced the appointment of Kurban Berdyev as head coach. Under his leadership, the team has maintained a place in the Premier League.

In the 2016–17 season, Rostov earned a UEFA Champions League spot in the League Route as runners-up of the Russian Premier League.

On 26 October 2021, Rostov announced Turkmenistani coach Vitaly Kafanov as their new manager.

Nowadays, the club competes in the Russian Premier League, playing their home matches at the Rostov Arena.

Athletes of the Aikido and Ju-jitsu Federation from Rostov (win) 10 medals and (take) the second team place. in the Russian Aikido championship "Tornado-2018".More than 600 athletes (represent) 37 regions of Russia and Belarus in the festival which (take) place on December 1 – 2,2018. Our six athletes (go) there after the National Aikido Council of Russia (invite) them. All representatives of the Rostov delegation (fight) for the victory. Revise the vocabulary of the topic (ex. 1 p. 124) and cases when we use the Past Simple and Past Perfect Tenses;

Write a short article about any sports event which took place in the Rostov region.

T: Have you got any questions regarding your home task?
