The dragonfly and the Ant

The Hopping Dragonfly

The red summer sang;

I didn't have time to look back,

How the winter rolls in my eyes.

The field is dead;

There are no more days of those bright ones,

As under each of her sheets

The table and the house were ready.

It's all gone: With a cold winter

Need, hunger is coming;

The dragonfly no longer sings:

And who will come to mind

I'm hungry to sing on my stomach!

She is depressed with an evil longing,

She's crawling towards the Ant:

"Don't leave me, dear friend!

Let me gather my strength.

And until today only days

Feed and warm up!" —

"Gossip, it's strange to me:

Did you work in the summer?"

The Ant tells her.

"Was it before that, my dear?

In the soft ants we have

Songs, frolic every hour,

It turned my head so much." -

"Oh, so you..." — "I'm without a soul

She sang the whole summer."

"Did you sing everything? This matter:

So come on, dance!"
