Конспект урока английского языка в 6 классе ST. PATRICKS DAY

Цель урока:

Ознакомление учащихся с обычаями и традициями празднования праздника “ ST. PATRICKS DAY ”.

Задачи урока:

1) Познакомить учащихся с традициями и обычаями празднования дня святого Патрика.

2) Способствовать формированию у учащихся навыков лингвострановедческой компетенции; расширить лингвострановедческие знания;

3) Активизировать лексику на тему “ St. Patrick’s Day ”

4) Познакомить с фольклорным и поэтическим наследием англоязычных стран;

5)создать условия для проявления индивидуальности и познавательной активности ученика

6) Развивать творческую фантазию, познавательный интерес, инициативу в осуществлении иноязычной речевой деятельности.

Ожидаемые учебные результаты:

1. Организационный этап

T: Good morning, students, I’m glad to see you at our lesson today. You’ll have an unusual lesson; you have a lot of guests today. Let’s turn around and say them ‘’Good morning’’How are you? Are you tired, bored, excited, happy, worried? How is your mood? I’m a bit nervous but I’m in a good mood and what about you? Show me the signs of your mood.

On St Patrick's Day people decorate their houses and streets with green shamrock, watch parades and take part in them, sing songs and dance the Irish jig, play the harps and the bagpipes - the national Irish and Scottish musical instruments, dress up like Leprechauns. The symbol of this day is shamrock. Saint Patrick used it to explain about God. St. Patrick died on March 17 and it’s the day when people remember him. All people are happy; they are smiling, laughing and celebrating each other everywhere. I’m so excited.

I have a lot of photos. I’ll show them when I return to Russia.
