Пояснительная записка к презентации

 Урок английского языка в 5 классе

Тема урока: «Экскурсия по Лондону»

Тип урока: комбинированный

Форма работы: фронтальная, парная и групповая

Цели урока:

образовательная – совершенствование лексических навыков по теме «Достопримечательности Лондона»; тренировка навыков аудирования и вопросно-ответной работы; активизация навыков устной речи по теме «Лондон»;

развивающая – развивать память, внимание, логическое мышление и воображение школьников;

воспитывающая – прививать любовь к культуре страны изучаемого языка, повышать интерес у учащихся к изучению английского языка; формирование социокультурной компетенции сквозь призму восприятия достопримечательностей Лондона как достояния британской культуры.

Оборудование: доска, картинки с достопримечательностями Лондона, компьютер, экран, компьютерная презентация, карта Лондона


 

Ход урока:

1.Организационный момент

- Good morning, boys and girls. I am glad to see you. How are you? Who is absent today? Well, today we are going to have “A Trip to London” (слайды 1-2). You will have different tasks. You must be active and friendly. Now let’s begin our lesson and remember the poem to greet each other. Listen to me, please. Repeat, please.

It’s time to say “Hello!” (Hello!)

It’s time to say “Hello!” (Hello!)

It’s time to say “Hello!” (Hello!)

And start our lesson.

2.Фонетическая зарядка

- We shall have a guest today. Let’s learn the poem about him and our guest will come. This poem will help us to train our tongues.

Lion, lion, lazy-bones,

Lions had two telephones.

Lion rings the lioness up

And invites her to hunt.

3. Речевая разминка

Игра «Запомни»

На доске развешаны картинки по теме «Лондон» (музей, галерея, театр, кинотеатр, стадион, парк, площадь, зоопарк и т.д.). Учитель спрашивает: “What can you see?” Дети перечисляют: “I can see….” Затем учитель даёт команду: “Sleep children!” Дети закрывают глаза, а учитель убирает какую-нибудь картинку. Затем учитель говорит: “Wake up, please!” Дети открывают глаза. Учитель спрашивает: Whats missing?” Дети должны назвать картинку, которая исчезла. Ученик, отгадавший картинку, становится ведущим. Затем можно добавить картинку. Дети называют картинку, которая появилась.

4. Тренировка навыков аудирования

You can see the pictures of some places in London (слайд 3). Can you name them? Listen to our guest’s stories and choose the correct picture.

Рассказы гостя (львёнка):

1. It is not far from the Houses of Parliament. It is a symbol of England. It was founded by St.Peter and built by King Edward in 1065. Some famous people are buried there. (Westminster Abbey)

2. It stands near the Houses of Parliament. It is really a bell. It weighs 13, 720 kilograms. It has a deep tone and you can hear it on the radio. It is a famous clock. (Big Ben)

3. It is the London home of the Queen. When the flag is flying on the top she is at home. (Buckingham Palace)

4. It is very old. It has a long and cruel history. You can see it from the river Thames. It is not just one building. Many years ago the Kings and the Queens of Britain lived in this place. (The Tower of London)

5. Развитие навыков диалогической речи по теме «Лондон»

- Do you like to go to London? If you want to see the interesting places in London, our guide will help you. Let’s make our common dialogue. What information do you want to get?

Учитель сообщает детям, что они будут составлять один общий диалог между гидом-экскурсоводом и туристами.

Примерный диалог:

- Hello! I am your guide.

- Hello!

- I’ll show you around London today.

- Where would you like to go first?

- We would like to visit the Houses of Parliament

- Excuse me, could you tell us how to get to the Houses of Parliament?

- Oh, it is not difficult. They are very famous and old buildings.

- How can we get there?

- We can get there by our comfortable bus.

- Would we like to go on a boat and see London from the river?

- Okay. We can go on a boat. The Houses of Parliament stand beside the river Thames. We can visit Big Ben and Westminster Abbey and see many interesting places from the river Thames.

6. Физкультминутка

- Will you stand up? Let’s remember our poem about London and do exercises.

Up, down, up, down ( Поднимаем руки вверх и вниз.)

Which is the way ( Разводим руки в стороны.)

to London town?

Where? Where? ( Поворачиваемся по сторонам.)

Up in the air, ( Смотрим по сторонам.)

Close your eyes – (Закрываем глаза.)

And you are there! ( Открываем глаза.)

7. Совершенствование навыков монологической речи. Проверка домашнего задания

- The group of our pupils had the home task: prepare some information about one of places of interest in London which they want to visit. They made the presentation. Let’s listen to them. Boys and girls, try to prove that these places are worth seeing. Our guide’ll listen to you too and may add some more information. (слайды 4-12)

8. Актуализация навыков вопросно-ответной работы по содержанию услышанного материала
- Well done. But do you understand the stories well? And now our guide and I check it. We are sure you can answer our questions.

2. Where does Big Ben stand? (Big Ben stands near the Houses of Parliament.)

6. Does the Queen of Britain live in the Tower? (No, she doesn’t.)

7. Where does the Queen stay when she is in London? (When she is in London she stays in Buckingham Palace.)

8. What is the oldest part of the Tower of London? (The White Tower is the oldest part of the Tower of London.)

9. What places in London do you like to visit? (I like to visit ……….)

9. Тренировка орфографических навыков

- I want you to open your exercise-books. The task for you is to put the letters in these words in the right order. (слайд 14) One of you will go to the blackboard and write down the words on it.

Учитель привлекает внимание детей к словам, заранее записанным на доске. Один ученик выходит к доске, а остальные работают в тетрадях. Задание для учащихся: поставить буквы в словах в правильном порядке и записать полученные слова.

Задание на доске:

- umsemu (museum) - bebay (abbey)

- numontme (monument) - retteha (theatre)

- distamu (stadium) - liaparmetn (parliament)

- nemaic (cinema) - legarly (gallery)

- aresqu (square)

10. Актуализация изученного материала по теме «Лондон»

- Our trip has finished. We are at home. I want you to look at the map of London. Find the places you know and name them. Let’s tell each other everything we know about London and its places of interest. Please, one by one. Only one sentence you must add to our common story. Our guide will start.

As you know London is the capital of Great Britain. There are many places of interest in London. Millions of visitors a year arrive in London to see the sights of the city. There are a lot of theatres, cinemas and parks here. Most parks are free in the capital of Great Britain. You can see the famous fairy-tale hero, Peter Pen, in Kensington Gardens. Hyde park is famous for its entertainments and its Speaker’s Corner. London is rich in museums and Art galleries. Madame Tussaud’s museum has one of the largest collections of wax models in the world. The history and magic of cinema and TV is explained there. Tourists in London always want to visit Westminster and see Big Ben. The famous clock stands near the Houses of Parliament. The symbol of Great Britain is Westminster Abbey………..

12. Итоги урока

- As you can see, London is a great historical and cultural centre of the country. It is one of the largest and the most interesting cities in the world. You have got a lot of interesting and useful information about sights of London. (слайд 15) There is so much to see in London that even Londoners can always find new places of interest in their capital. They like to say: “When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life”. Say me, please, how do you understand these words?

Учащиеся отвечают, как они понимают высказывание: «Если вы устали от Лондона, значит вы устали от жизни». Это означает, что в Лондоне есть на что посмотреть. И даже жители Лондона всегда могут найти новые, интересные  места в своей столице.

WE ARE IN London

Big Ben It is the clock in the clock tower of the Houses of Parliament. The sound of Big Ben is well-known all over the world because it’s broadcast by the BBC.

Tower of Bridge The Tower Bridge is located in above the River Thames, London.  Tower Bridge contains two massive towers which are linked together. The bridge stands at a height of 60 meters and the height of each tower is about 43 meters. The middle part of the bridge can be lifted up when huge ships pass through that way. In the past, the bridge was lifted nearly 50 times per day.

Buckingham Palace It is the London home of the Queen. When the flag is flying on the top she is at home.

The Westminster Palace The Palace of Westminster, also known as the Houses of Parliament  in London, is where the two Houses of the Parliament of the United Kingdom meet. In 1605, Guy Fawkes attempted to blow the Palace up. He was caught and later executed. This was called the Gunpowder Plot, and is celebrated on 5 November every year. The original building was used as a palace and home to the Parliament of England.

Museum madam Tussaud’s It is a museum which contains wax figures of famous people. It was opened in 1835.

The Tower of London It is an ancient fortress in the City, formerly a palace, then a prison. It is now a museum and the place where the Crown jewels are kept.

The palace of Kensington Kensington Palace in London is one of the British royal family's current residences, home to nobles from 300 years of England's history. Princess Margaret and Princess Diana both lived there. Located in the midst of the spacious Kensington Gardens, the palace is a working museum of the history of the monarchy.

Westminster Abbey It is one of the leading sights of London, a large gothic church, where almost all English kings and queens have been crowned and where many famous people are buried .
