Урок английского языка в 11 классе c использованием приёмов технологии развития критического мышления обучающихся учителя МБОУ Школы №120 г.о. Самара Чертыковцевой И.И.

Тема раздела: Crimes (Преступления)

Тема урока: Different kinds of crimes. Reasons for a rise in crime. (Различные виды преступлений. Причины роста преступности).

Цель урока: обучение навыкам аргументированного высказывания о причинах роста преступности.

Познавательная задача: совершенствование умений извлекать информацию, перерабатывать её, анализировать.

Развивающие задачи:

1) развитие критического мышления.

2) развитие связной речи, языковой догадки, слуховой и зрительной памяти, внимания, логического мышления, развитие способностей к узнаванию и сопоставлению нового и ранее изученного.

3) развитие логики высказывания, умения систематизировать свои знания, высказывать свое мнение и обосновывать свою точку зрения.

Воспитательные задачи:

1) воспитание чувства ответственности за совместную групповую работу;

2) воспитание уважения к точке зрения собеседника.

Учебные задачи:

повторение и расширение лексического запаса по теме;

использовать освоенные навыки из других областей знаний и развитие межпредметных связей (обществознание, ОБЖ);

развитие навыков говорения.

Формируемые УУД:

Личностные – развитие умения адекватно вести себя в трудных жизненных ситуациях.

Регулятивные - определение целей работы.

Коммуникативные УУД - навыки переработки информации (анализ прочитанной и увиденной видео информации), перевод визуального ряда в речевой, т.е. умение оформлять свои мысли в устной форме и понимать речь других.

Познавательные УУД - обобщение ранее изученной лексики, ориентация в англоязычном тексте, умение находить нужную информацию, осуществлять анализ информации.

Ход урока:

1. Организационный момент - 1 мин.

Teacher (Учитель): Today we’ll carry on discussing the topic “Crime”. (слайд 1) First of all, we’re going to talk about different kinds of crimes and criminals and how to protect ourselves from certain types of crime. Moreover, we’re to analyze the reasons for a rise in crime and finally we’ll speak about capital punishment.

2. Речевая разминка – 8 мин.

а) Фронтальная работа

Teacher (Учитель): At the previous lessons we discussed different crimes. By the way, do you like cartoons? Then, I would like you to watch several episodes from Russian and foreign cartoons and identify the types of crimes you see. (The film is stopped after each part) What crime was it? (слайд 2) Упражнение проводится как «мозговой штурм» (brainstorm activity).

Teacher (Учитель): Now I would like you to work individually and do the cards. You have

2 minutes to do the task.

2. Аудирование с извлечением конкретной информации – 14 мин.

Развитие навыка монологической речи.

Teacher (Учитель): But is it possible to protect yourself from certain types of crime? At the previous lesson we listened to a policeman who gave you useful advice. Tell me what you can do to prevent mugging/burglary/car theft/kidnapping from happening to you.

Teacher (Учитель): Many people claim that there is a rise in crime in recent years. Why do people commit crimes? Discuss the problem with your neighbour for 2 minutes and give reasons for such a phenomenon.

Аудирование и чтение.

Teacher (Учитель): Now we’ll find out whether you’ve mentioned everything. (слайд 5) Open your books on page 87, exercise 11. Read the task. Listen to the tape and fill in the table.

Teacher (Учитель): Read the main reasons for the rise in crime. Don’t forget to use linking words. At home you’ll prepare a one-minute talk about it.

Групповая работа над мини-проектом. Развитие критического мышления – 15 мин.

Teacher (Учитель): As there is a constant rise in crime rate many people are worried. They believe that only capital punishment/death penalty can help solve the problem. Others object to that. (слайд 6) Now we’ll work in two groups: one group we’ll be for capital punishment and the other against. Read the information in the handout and in 3 minutes give as many reasons as you can for you point of view. You may use your own ideas as well.

Teacher (Учитель): Your time is up. Give your arguments. Take notes as those who are going to sit exams will write an opinion essay on the problem. As for the others they’ll write a paragraph either for or against capital punishment. (слайд 7)

Suggested answer:

Teacher (Учитель): So you see that there are both advantages and disadvantages to capital punishment and it’s up to you to decide which of them outweighs.

Don’t forget to use linking words. Look at the board and put the linking words into the right column. (слайд 8)
