Урок английского языка в 8 классе по теме «У природы нет плохой погоды».

    Цель: применить полученные знания и умения на практике с последующим выходом на диалогическое высказывание по теме.

  Образовательные задачи: 1 Активизация употребления изученной лексики по теме.

                                        2. Совершенствование навыков чтения и аудирования.

                                        3. Развитие навыков диалогической речи.

  Воспитательные задачи: воспитание уважительного отношения друг к другу, взаимопомощи, воспитание позитивного отношения к культуре страны изучаемого языка, формирование мотивации к изучению английского языка.

  Развивающие задачи: развитие умения работать индивидуально, в парах, в коллективе, развитие познавательного интереса к культуре другой страны, закрепление умения наблюдать, сравнивать, развитие творческих способностей.

                                                  Ход урока.

    1. Речевая подготовка. Teacher: Good morning! Today we have a lot of guests, so turn to them and greet them. Girls and boys, be attentive, please. Look at the screen, watch, listen and try to understand what it is about.

    T: What are we going to speak about today? Ps: Weather. T: Right you are. The main topic of our lesson is weather. (1 слайд) T: Let`s remember the symbols of weather. (2-3 слайды) 2. What words can you use describing weather? 3. What other words can you remember? Well done. 4. Let`s return to our video. 5. Weather of what country is mentioned in this video? 6. Yes. How have you guessed? 7. What kind of weather will it be in London?

    T: Look here. As you see there are weather forecasts in England and in our town for today. I want you to comment them. Who wants to be an announcer of weather forecast. (4 слайд)

(Двое учащихся комментируют прогноз погоды.)

    T: Look! In England the weather is wet and rainy and in our town it is sunny and clear. What does it depend on? Remember your Geography lessons and try to answer. (5-6 слайды) T: Do you agree with them? Yes, the UK is surrounded by water and in our place we have no oceans, no seas, there are mountains and steppes.

    2. Работа с текстом. T: Now boys and girls. Is it important to know weather forecast? Can people live without any weather forecast? And now read the text and say why it is important to know weather forecast. Read the question and translate it. (7 слайд)

    Read the text. I give you three minutes.

Text Weather forecasts are important for all people. No doubt sailors, pilots, farmers are especially interested in forecasts. Sailors and pilots can get into real trouble when there is a storm or a thick fog. That is why they need to know exactly what the weather is going to be this or that day. Farmers can lose their harvest because of rain or sudden frost. People can listen to daily weather forecasts many times a day. They can get this information not only on radio or TV but also in newspapers. Sometimes, the forecast is not quite right as the weather is not an easy thing to forecast. Weathermen collect information about weather from ships, plane weather stations, and space stations. They do it all day and night. If a barometer shows high pressure, it usually means misty mornings and hot sunny days in summer. In winter it will be cold and frosty. When the barometer shows low pressure, look out for rain and strong winds. As a result of the weathermen’s work we learn about the weather. Проверка понимания (8 слайд)

    3. Развитие навыков диалогической речи.

Now I want you to speak about your favourite weather. As for me I like nasty and stormy weather when I can stay in bed reading an interesting book or watching TV. And what about you? Well, work in pairs and find out your favourite weather. Speak about what you usually do in such weather, why you like such weather. Let`s listen to several pairs.

    4. Синквейн Now, let`s do a cinquane. Work in groups. Write a cinquane to the word “weather”. And make a story about weather using your cinquane.

    5. Homework. To write an essay about weather in your hometown.

Boys and girls, today you have worked very actively. I am pleased with you. Thank you and good-bye.
